WIZZ AIR POSTPONES LAUNCH OF FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO LEIPZIG

Wizz Air, one of the largest European low-cost airlines, has postponed the launch of flights from Kyiv to Leipzig (Germany) from July 5 to August 9.
According to data in the booking system, the first departure from Kyiv (Zhuliany) is scheduled for August 9 at 13:00, back from Leipzig at 14:45 local time.
Flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The planned flight duration is just over two hours.
The cost of a one-way ticket starts from UAH 1,300.

UIA RESUMES DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM ODESA TO VILNIUS FROM JUNE 15

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) from June 15, 2019 will launch direct flights from Odesa to Vilnius (Lithuania).
The press service of the airline reported on Monday that the UIA third-weekly flights will be operated on Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays on modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flight will take one hour and 50 minutes.
UIA offers one-way tickets at the price from UAH 1,530 for Odesa to Vilnius flights, and one-way tickets for Vilnius to Odesa flights at the price from EUR 58 (approximately UAH 1,720 at the current exchange rate).
In general, as reported by UIA, the number of direct weekly UIA regular flights connecting Lithuania and Ukraine will increase from 14 to 17 comparing with the previous year.
Ukraine International Airlines was founded in 1992. The fleet consists of 42 airplanes of different modifications. One of the ultimate beneficiaries of the airline is businessman Ihor Kolomoisky.

SKYUP AIRLINE LAUNCHES REGULAR FLIGHTS FROM KHARIV, ZAPORIZHIA TO BARCELONA

The Ukrainian airline SkyUp from May 25, 2019 started servicing regular flights from Kharkiv and Zaporizhia to Barcelona (Spain).
Regular flights on the Kharkiv-Barcelona and Zaporizhia-Barcelona routes will be operated twice a week: on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These are the first direct flights from Kharkiv and Zaporizhia to Barcelona.
The cost of one-way tickets for the flight from Kharkiv starts from UAH 2,900.
In addition, in summer, SkyUp will also operate charter flights from Kharkiv to Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Tivat (Montenegro), Monastir (Tunisia) and Antalya (Turkey).
Along with flights to Barcelona, in the coming months, the airline will launch regular flights from the Kharkiv International Airport to five destinations at once: June 2 to Odesa and Rimini (Italy), June 4 to Kutaisi (Georgia), June 6 to Larnaca (Cyprus), and on June 11 to Paris (France).
The airline also said that flights to Barcelona from Odesa will be operated during the summer navigation period – from May 25 through October 26. The one-way ticket price starts from UAH from 2,500.
SkyUp Airline LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016. The founder of SkyUp was ACS-Ukraine belonging to Tetiana Alba and Yuriy Alba, who also own JoinUp! tour operator.

UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES WILL START FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO HAINAN ISLAND, CHINA

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) will launch direct flights to Sanya (the Hainan Island, China) from June 4, 2019 on a weekly basis.
Starting from June 4, 2019, direct flights between Kyiv and Sanya will be performed on Tuesdays on board Boeing-767-300 aircraft with two classes of service: business and economy.
In the opposite direction, flights will be operated on Wednesdays, travel time is about seven hours.

UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES LAUNCHES FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO IZMIR FROM JUNE 15

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) from June 15, 2019 will launch direct flights from Kyiv to Izmir (Turkey).
The press service of UIA reported that flights between Kyiv and Izmir will be operated daily by medium-haul Boeing 737-800 NG and Embraer aircraft. It will take 2 hours and 20 minutes to get to the destination.
One-way economy class ticket prices include all taxes and surcharges start from UAH 819 when booked in advance.
UIA has enhanced its fleet with second medium-haul Embraer-195. The plane received the registration number UR-EMF. The plane is scheduled to operate its first commercial flights from May 27.

SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES FROM SWEDEN PLANS TO RESUME FLIGHTS TO UKRAINE

SAS Airline (Scandinavian Airlines, Sweden) plans to resume flights to Ukraine, starting servicing direct Oslo-Kyiv flights from October 2019, according to the Google Flights ticket search engine. SAS’s website is not available for users with Ukrainian IP.
“Congratulations to Scandinavian Airlines on its return to Ukraine after eight years of break,” Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan said on his Facebook page.
Boeing 737-700 aircraft will service the Oslo-Kyiv SAS direct flights between the Gardermoen and Borispol airports with a frequency of three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The plane will depart from Kyiv at 14:00, and from Oslo at 09:30 local time.
“This decision is another reflection of the significant strengthening of Ukrainian-Norwegian relations in recent years, which, in turn, was the result of unprecedented intensification of contacts between people, including mutual trips between Ukraine and Norway,” Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Viacheslav Yatsiuk said in a posting on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The ambassador believes that there is every reason to expect that the opening of the flight between Kyiv and Oslo will help further strengthen the interaction between the two countries, and the visa-free regime between Ukraine and Norway will contribute to the success of the future Kyiv-Oslo flight.
