As of November 19, Ukrainian agricultural producers harvested 78.5 million tonnes of basic crops from an area of 23.4 million hectares, in particular, 60.3 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from an area of about 14.6 million hectares (95% forecast).
According to a report on the website of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, 24.5 million tonnes of corn was harvested from an area of 4.7 million hectares (86%), 13 million tonnes of sunflower from 6.4 million hectares (100%), 2.7 million tonnes of soybeans from 1.3 million hectares (97%), 243,700 tonnes of millet from 150,300 hectares (100%) and 105,600 tonnes of buckwheat from 78,400 hectares (100%).
Some 8.1 million tonnes of sugar beet was dug from an area of 190,700 hectares (88%).
As reported, the Economy Ministry predicted the grain harvest in 2020 at 68 million tonnes. Of the early grains, the following have already been threshed: 25.1 million tonnes of wheat from an area of 6.6 million hectares; 7.8 million tonnes of barley from 2.4 million hectares; 516,200 tonnes of peas from 238,000 hectares; 2.56 million tonnes of rapeseed from 1.1 million hectares.
As of November 12, Ukrainian agricultural producers harvested 75.2 million tonnes of basic crops from an area of 22.8 million hectares, in particular, 57.2 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from an area of about 14.1 million hectares (92% forecast).
According to a report on the website of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, 21.4 million tonnes of corn was harvested from an area of 4.3 million hectares (78%), 12.9 million tonnes of sunflower from 6.3 million hectares (99%), 2.6 million tonnes of soybeans from 1.3 million hectares (94%), 241,700 tonnes of millet from 148,600 hectares (99%) and 104,700 tonnes of buckwheat from 77,800 hectares (99%).
Some 6.7 million tonnes of sugar beet was dug from an area of 161,600 hectares (75%).

According to a report posted on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, the following crops were collected: corn – 17.6 million tonnes from an area of 3.6 million hectares (66%), sunflower – 12.1 million tonnes from 6.1 million hectares (95%), soybeans – 2.4 million tonnes from 1.2 million hectares (88%), millet – 240,400 tonnes from 147,800 hectares (98%) and buckwheat – 100,300 tonnes from 77,700 hectares (99%).
Some 5.1 million tonnes of sugar beet were dug out from an area of 124,000 hectares (57%).
Ukraine as of July 19, 2019 had threshed early grains and leguminous crops on an area of 6.1 million hectares (63% of the forecast), harvesting 21.6 million tonnes of grain, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has reported.
According to its data, farmers harvested 15.4 million tonnes of wheat from an area of 4.1 million hectares (63% of the forecast), 5.6 million tonnes of barley from 1.7 million hectares (69% of the forecast), 537,000 tonnes of peas from an area of 237,000 hectares (84% of the forecast).
In addition, farmers harvested 32,000 tonnes of rye from 12,000 hectares (10% of the forecast) and 12,000 tonnes of oats from 5,000 hectares (3%).
Farmers continue harvesting winter rapeseeds, having threshed 2.4 million tonnes from an area of 1 million hectares (79% of the forecast).
As reported, the ministry predicts the increase in the grain yield in 2019 under favorable conditions to 70.8 million tonnes against 70.1 million tonnes in 2018.
The USDA estimates grain harvest in Ukraine this year at 72.6 million tonnes, exports at 51.4 million tonnes.
Ukraine as of July 8, 2019 had threshed grain and leguminous crops on an area of 3.4 million hectares (35% of the forecast), harvesting 11.3 million tonnes of grain, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has reported on its website.
According to the ministry, farmers collected 7.3 million tonnes of wheat from an area of 2.1 million hectares (32% of the forecast), 3.6 million tonnes of barley from 1.1 million hectares (43% of the forecast), 402,000 tonnes of peas from 187,000 ha (66% of the forecast).
In addition, farmers continue harvesting winter rapeseeds, having threshed 1.1 million tonnes from an area of 519,000 hectares (40% of the forecast).
According to the ministry, farmers from six regions, namely Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Ivano-Frankivsk, have started harvesting rye, and as of July 8 had already threshed 2,000 tonnes from 600 ha (0.5% to the forecast). Agrarians of four regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa, began harvesting oats, having threshed 1,500 tonnes from 1,000 hectares (0.4% of the forecast).
Ukraine as of July 4, 2019 threshed grain and leguminous crops on 2.5 million ha (25% of the forecast), harvesting 8.2 million tonnes of grain, the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has reported.
The ministry said that farmers harvested 4.85 million tonnes of winter wheat from 22% of the projected area, 2.6 million tonnes of barley from 75% of areas and 288,400 tonnes of peas from 56% of fields. In addition, farmers harvested 786,000 tonnes of winter rapeseeds from 30% of fields.
The ministry said that harvesting campaign was launched in 23 regions of Ukraine.
As reported, the ministry predicts an increase in the yield of grain in 2019 to 70.8 million tonnes with a gross harvest of grain in the 2018/19 agricultural year at the level of 70.1 million tonnes.
