The international hotel operator Accor (France) has signed a management contract for the Swissotel Living hotel at 13 Luteranska Street in Pechersky district of Kyiv, the opening of which is scheduled for 2021-2022. “This will be an aparthotel designed for long and medium-term accommodation (extended stay). The owner of the hotel and Accor believe that this format has good prospects in the city,” Accor New East Europe Development Director Yekateryna Marchenko told Interfax-Ukraine.
The object will be housed in a historic building near Khreschatyk Street, after restoration it will have 58 rooms.
The expert noted that before joining the Accor chain, the Swissotel brand already made attempts to enter the Ukrainian hotel market, but the planned projects were not implemented.
Accor Group is one of the leading hotel operators in the world. It opened its first hotel under the Novotel brand in Lille (France) in 1967.
ArtBuild Hotel Group (ABHG, Kyiv) plans in October 2019 to open the Santa Sofia hotel of the economy+ class in Rome (Italy), managing partner of the company Oleksiy Yevchenko has told Interfax-Ukraine.
“In October, we open a hotel project in Rome. We have long been working in the international market as consultants, but our own hotel will appear abroad for the first time. The object is located in the tourist center of Rome, not far from the Coliseum. This is the reconstruction of a commercial apartment building for pilgrims into an economy+ hotel,” he said.
ArtBuild Hotel Group rented premises for the hotel.
The hotel has 50 rooms, a restaurant on the ground floor and a wine bar on the open roof terrace.
According to him, currently ArtBuild Hotel Group is also developing concepts for four hotels in Kyiv, another one in Rome and another in Budapest.
“Hotels will be represented in economy and midscale segments that are most popular in Kyiv now. They have different locations, but none of them will be located in the central part of Kyiv. One of them will be managed by ArtBuild Hotel Management,” the managing partner said.

Reikartz Hotel Management LLC (Kyiv), the managing company of the national hotel chain Reikartz Hotel Group, has signed an agreement to manage the Soniachny Provans (Sunny Provence) hotel in Sataniv (Khmelnytsky region), which has become part of the network under the Vita Park brand.
“The Soniachny Provans hotel in Khmelnytsky region has become a new member and the seventh resort hotel in the Reikartz Hotel Group chain. From August 1, the hotel starts operating under the name Vita Park Soniachny Provans ” Reikartz said on its website.
According to the report, the hotel has 99 rooms of various categories, as well as a restaurant, a conference room, a swimming pool, as well as a SPA center.
“Work on the implementation of operating, sales and marketing standards is already underway. The company plans not only to develop a finished product, but also expand the range of services for guests. Soon, a full-fledged Swedish line and a team of animators will begin to work in the hotel,” the operating director of Reikartz Hotel Group, Andriy Dema, said.
Reikartz Hotel Management LLC was established in 2008.
The new Ukrainian chain of futuristic capsule hotels Monotel plans to open its first facility near Besarabska Square in August, and two more in Zoloti Vorota (Golden Gate) and near the Kyiv’s bike track – by the end of 2019, the press service of the operator has told Interfax-Ukraine.
“We are planning to open the first facility on Independence Day. It will be located at 9/28 Shevchenko Boulevard and will be designed for 28 people. It includes women’s and men’s bedrooms with 10 beds each and one bedroom for couples with four double capsules. The total area of the hotel is about 300-350 square meters,” Marketing Partner of the Monotel project Ksenia Chigarkina said.
According to her, the investor and owner of the first hotel is the ideologist of the Monotel network, Hanna Osypenko (previously headed the Capitol Invest company). Since the chain is planning to develop a franchise, the second and third hotels will follow the model of the first Monotel hotel with the participation of other private investors.
“By October, we will open a hotel in Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, and in November-December – near the Zoloti Vorota. The hotel in Khmelnytsky Street will have an expanded format. It will be a monotel and a monohub, where you can work and live 24/7. These will be two independent facilities that will create a unique product on the market in a pair,” Chigarkina said, adding that the chain’ss plans include launching Monotel hotels in Lviv and Odesa, and also, possibly, abroad.
According to her, investments in the opening of the hotel total from $1,200 to $1,500 per square meter. Thus, the launch of one facility will cost about $400,000-500,000. Business owners expect to return the invested funds in two and a half or three years.
The new Nemo dolphinarium with a hotel is being built a land parcel of around 1 ha near Art Mall shopping and entertainment center located at 37, Zabolotnoho Street in Kyiv.
“Nemo dolphinarium will open at the parking area in six months. It moved. We sold 1 hectare of land and, not mobile, as previously it was at VDNG, but full-function dolphinarium and a hotel are being built… The facility was designed and construction is underway,” A Sky LLC Head and Director General of the Sky Mall shopping center Yulia Vanchenko said at the CP Round Table “Retail Property of Ukraine: the Market is on the Rise”.
She said that she took part in the launch and development of the Art Mall project.
Vanchenko said that the location of the Art Mall shopping and entertainment center is not good in terms of traffic: there are no houses, the subway nearby.
In this regard, as she said, a few years ago it was decided to change the concept of the shopping and entertainment center: the “children’s world” direction was chosen as the key one, and the facility increased its performance.
“The shopping gallery worked for three years, and we reformatted it into a new business focused on children, also new to Ukraine…” Vanchenko said, adding that Planet Toys, Kids Will, Kids Island, wow park, Reserved and LC Waikiki with large children’s departments, Luxoptika Kids are operating now.
“Now the Art Mall shopping center is improving the composition of neighbors around it, and thus the traffic of regular customers,” she said.
The executive committee of the Lviv City Council has approved the town-planning conditions and limits for designing an office and hotel center at 191b, Liubinska Street.
As reported on the website of the City Council, private enterprise Galmodern plans to build an office center with underground parking and a hotel and office center with underground parking on the site. The facilities will be located near the Lviv airport.
Zaxid.net reported with reference to Head of the department of architecture and urbanism of the Lviv City Council Yulian Chaplynsky that Galmodern is negotiating the opening of a hotel under the international brand of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
“There are negotiations with the Hilton network. But for the time being they have only received town planning conditions for design. It is finally unknown if they submit this [the project] to Hilton or another network,” Chaplynsky said.
According to the unified public register, Natalia Onoshko (100%) is listed as the participant and ultimate beneficiary of Galmodern.
