PUBLIC DEBT FOR HOUSING SERVICES RAISES UP BY 12% IN 2021

The debt of the population of Ukraine for payment of housing and utilities services in December 2021 increased by 12% compared to November and amounted to UAH 73.7 billion (excluding electricity).
According to the State Statistics Service, in general, in December 2021 Ukrainians paid UAH 21.6 billion for housing and utilities services, which amounted to 71.1% of the amount accrued for this month.
The debt for the supplied electricity in September amounted to UAH 7.7 billion.
The highest level of payment for housing and communal services in December 2021 was recorded in Kirovohrad (82.3% of the amount of charges), Odesa (81%), Cherkasy (77.2%) regions.
The lowest level of payment is in Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Chernivtsi regions (66.9% of the amount of charges). In Kyiv, the level of payment was 68%.
According to the State Statistics Service, since the beginning of 2021, some 58,300 agreements have been concluded with the population on the repayment of restructured debt for housing and communal services for a total amount of UAH 531 million. The amount of payments made, taking into account long-term contracts, was UAH 312 million.
The data are given without taking into account the annexed Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as parts of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

UKRAINIANS PAY UAH 16.2 BLN FOR HOUSING SERVICES IN NOV 2021

In November 2021, the population of Ukraine paid UAH 16.2 billion for housing and utilities services, which amounted to 69.6% of the amount charged for this period, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to it, the population’s debt for the supply and distribution of natural gas amounted to UAH 29.2 billion at the end of November 2021, for the supply of heat and hot water – UAH 23.3 billion, for the supply and distribution of electricity – UAH 6.9 billion, for centralized water supply and drainage – UAH 6.4 billion, for the management of apartment buildings – UAH 5.6 billion, and for the household waste collection – UAH 1.3 billion.
According to the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated November 21, 1995 (No. 848) and dated June 27, 2003 (No. 976), in November 2021, some 5,000 agreements were concluded with the population on the repayment of restructured debts for a total of UAH 55.2 million. According to the State Statistics Service, the amount of payments made, taking into account long-term contracts, amounted to UAH 44.4 million.

UKRAINE’S POPULATION DEBT FOR HOUSING SERVICES DECREASES IN MAY

The arrears of the population of Ukraine on payment for housing and communal services decreased by 7.6% in May 2021 versus April and amounted to UAH 61.6 billion (excluding electricity).
According to the State Statistics Service, in general, in May, Ukrainians paid UAH 17.1 billion for housing services, which amounted to 146.2% of the amount charged for that month.
The debt for the supplied electricity in May amounted to UAH 7.3 billion.
The highest level of payment for housing services was recorded in Ternopil (177.9% of the amount accrued, due to the repayment of debts of previous periods), Cherkasy (153.9%), Donetsk (153.4%) regions and Kyiv (170.3%).
The lowest level of payment is in Kirovograd, Volyn and Kherson regions (113% to 120% of the amount of charges).
According to the State Statistics Service, from the beginning of 2021, some 22,700 agreements have been concluded with the population on the repayment of restructured debt for housing services for a total of UAH 187.1 million. The amount of payments made, taking into account long-term contracts, amounted to UAH 106.2 million.
