Planeta Plastik has built Ukraine’s first solar-powered polyethylene pipe manufacturing plant in Irpin

Planeta Plastik has launched a new plant in Irpin that will manufacture polyethylene pipes using solar energy.

The plant has a capacity of over 17,000 kilometers of pipes per year for water supply, gas networks, as well as technical and protective systems.

All products will be manufactured using the latest equipment, which allows the production of polymer pipes with diameters ranging from 16 to 800 mm.

Compliance with standards

The plant operates under the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, using high-quality raw materials from world leaders. Polyethylene pipes have already been tested, received quality certificates, and are manufactured in accordance with current standards:

DSTU EN 12201 – for water supply systems

DSTU EN 1555 – for gas distribution networks

Economic effect and community support.

Thanks to the opening of the new production facility, the company has created new jobs. The plant’s products will be supplied both to the domestic market and for export. Thanks to its location in Irpin, the company will be able to quickly meet the needs of customers in all regions of Ukraine.

To support educators and medical professionals, as well as educational and medical institutions in Ukraine, the plant will supply polymer pipes at special prices.

First stage of repairs to polyclinic in Irpin has been completed with funding from Azerbaijan

The first stage of major repairs to a city polyclinic damaged during the Russian occupation of 2022 has been completed in Irpin, Kyiv region. The reconstruction was carried out with financial support from the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine also contributed to the restoration.

The first stage included major repairs and insulation of the facades and roof, replacement of windows, and renovation of the entrance areas. The SOCAR Blago Charitable Foundation allocated 60 million hryvnias for this work.

The second stage of the clinic’s restoration, also financed by SOCAR, involves the construction of a shelter, the installation of a fire alarm system, and ventilation. The overhaul of the clinic is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

Earlier it was reported that the city of Irpin had already been 80% restored after the destruction caused by hostilities in the spring of 2022.

Azerbaijani-Ukrainian diplomatic relations were officially established on February 6, 1992, after Azerbaijan recognized Ukraine’s independence. During Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv temporarily suspended its work, but resumed operations on April 30, 2022.

SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic) is Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil and gas company, founded in 1992. Its headquarters are located in Baku. SOCAR extracts oil and natural gas onshore and offshore in the Caspian Sea, operates the country’s only oil refinery and gas processing plant, and operates several export oil and gas pipelines.

SOCAR began operations in Ukraine in 2009. Today, the SOCAR network in Ukraine has more than 60 gas stations in various regions of the country, including Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and other cities.

Damage to Irpin’s infrastructure is estimated at UAH 25.3 bln or $922 mln

Damage to Irpin’s infrastructure from Russian military aggression against Ukraine is estimated at UAH 25.3 billion or $922 million, follows from a study by the KSE Institute as part of the RebuildUA project.
According to it, the destruction of the housing stock in the city constitutes the largest part of the total damage – UAH 17.7 billion, of which UAH 11.6 billion is the destruction of apartment buildings. In general, 48% of the entire housing stock of Irpin was destroyed – 9,690 residential buildings, household buildings and structures with a total area of 4.1 million square meters.
During the occupation of Irpin by Russians from the end of February until the liberation on March 28, some 10,500 buildings in the city were damaged, of which 2,501 were significantly damaged or completely destroyed.
As a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation, 53% of all social facilities of the city were also destroyed, the damage is estimated at UAH 3.7 billion. According to the KSE, 54 educational institutions (damage in the amount of UAH 1.3 billion), 26 medical institutions (UAH 236 million), 16 cultural and religious facilities were destroyed due to hostilities.
In addition, damage was caused to a number of industrial infrastructure facilities. According to estimates, 323 industrial buildings worth UAH 2.9 billion were damaged or destroyed.
Due to the destruction of government, administrative buildings, police and post offices, the city suffered damage in the amount of UAH 262.5 million.
As reported, according to KSE estimates, the total amount of direct damage to the Ukrainian economy from damage or destruction of residential, non-residential buildings and infrastructure due to Russian aggression is $95.5 billion, or UAH 2.6 trillion.

IT IS PLANNED TO BUILD 100,000 SQ M OF HOUSING IN IRPIN AND BORODIANKA

It is planned to build two residential complexes of 50,000 square meters each in Irpin and Borodianka (Kyiv region) in five months, head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksandr Pavliuk said in the Telegram channel.
“Thousands of families were left without homes. And our task as representatives of state power is to provide them with new comfortable housing. We have prepared proposals for developers in the region. To solve this ambitious task, we need joint work, synergy of business, local authorities and the state,” Pavliuk said during a meeting with developers in the region on Monday.
Thus, sites have already been selected for the construction of the residential complexes, taking into account the necessary communications and road infrastructure. The project also provides for the construction of bomb shelters, playgrounds and other social infrastructure.
Developers will be able to decide on participation in the project after studying the sketches and terms of reference.
According to the official, the procedures for starting construction work and commissioning for such projects can be simplified at the legislative level.
According to him, in Kyiv region there are more than 42,000 square meters of apartments put into operation and ready for purchase.
“At present, consultations are being held with developers on the recommended price for the purchase of apartments. In addition, each apartment must have all the necessary plumbing and furniture,” Pavliuk added.

UKRAINIAN AUTHORITIES REPORT ABOUT EVACUATION FROM SUMY REGION AND IRPIN

Evacuation of people from Ukrainian regions is ongoing, the State Emergency Situations Service said.
“The first convoy of about 20 buses with foreign students has set out in the Sumy region at 9:30 a.m. Three items of hardware and 23 employees of the State Emergency Situations Service are involved. The second convoy to depart at 1 p.m. is now being formed,” the State Emergency Situations Service said on its Telegram channel.
Evacuation of residents of the Irpin city in the Kyiv region to Kyiv is continuing, the service said. According to the service, over 150 people have already been evacuated.
Evacuation buses have departed from Zaporizhzhya to Mariupol, humanitarian cargo is on its way, it said.
