Kharkiv region received a batch of Pfizer vaccines against coronavirus, Janssen vaccines are expected

Kharkiv region is provided with CoronaVac vaccine, in addition, the region received a batch of Comirnaty Tris vaccines from Pfizer and a batch of Janssen vaccines is expected, the press service of the regional military administration reports.
“The region has received 14,000 doses of the Comirnaty Tris vaccine from Pfizer. More than 6,000 doses of the Janssen vaccine are also expected. In addition, today the region is supplied with the CoronaVac vaccine in sufficient quantities,” the message says.
According to the director of the HOVA Health Department Maxim Khaustov, in Kharkiv you can get vaccinated in polyclinics, in the region – in other medical institutions. You can get both the first or second dose, as well as a booster or additional. The technical possibility of entering the new Comirnaty Tris vaccine into the Electronic Health System and uploading updated covid certificates to Diya will become available from next week.
Khaustov noted that a new wave of COVID-19 is already beginning in Europe and urged residents of the region to get vaccinated.
“I remind you that the only effective way to counter the disease is vaccination … Depending on which vaccine was made first, you can do a booster dose of both Janssen, which is a vector vaccine, and Comirnaty Tris, which is an mRNA vaccine,” Khaustov said. .
According to him, since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in the region, about 2 million 850 thousand vaccinations have been made, while more than 1 million 100 thousand people have been vaccinated with two doses. Since February 24, 50,000 vaccinations have been made in the region, of which about 40,000 are booster doses.
Since February 24, 20 people have died from complications caused by COVID-19.

HARVESTING OF EARLY GRAINS BEGAN IN KHARKIV REGION – LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Harvesting of early grains has begun in Kharkiv region, the press service of the regional military administration reported with reference to the department of agro-industrial development.
“To date, the first mowing of winter barley and wheat has been made. Some 1,292 tonnes of early grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from an area of 450 hectares, or 0.1% of the harvested area (438,200 hectares)… In terms of crops threshed: winter wheat – 866 tonnes from an area of 345 hectares (0.1% of the harvested area), the average yield is 25.1 centners per ha; winter barley – 426 tonnes from an area of 106 hectares (0.1% of the harvested area), yield – 40.2 centners per hectare,” the press service of Kharkiv regional military administration told an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent.
This year, in Kharkiv region, farmers sowed 438,200 hectares with early cereals and legumes (excluding temporarily occupied territories and zones of active hostilities), of which wheat (winter and spring) – 348,900 hectares; barley (winter and spring) – 73,100 ha; rye – 1,400 hectares; oats – 2,700 hectares (54%); and peas – 12,100 hectares.
The Department of Agro-Industrial Development also noted that as of July 5, according to the recent data of the district administrations, 22,600 hectares (1.2% of the total arable land) need to be cleared or surveyed for the presence of sites contaminated with explosive objects. We are talking about farmland in Bohodukhiv (12,000 hectares); Kharkiv (2,580 ha) and Chuhuiv (8,090 d ha) districts of the region.
“On the territories of Izium, Kupiansk, partially Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts, hostilities continue, therefore, information about the territories that require examination for the presence of explosive objects in Kharkiv region is constantly changing and being updated,” the press service quoted the department.

UKRAINIAN PROMETEY TO BUY GRAIN STORAGE IN KHARKIV REGION

Prometey Group has acquired an elevator (Zolochiv, Kharkiv region), designed for a one-time storage of 30,000 tonnes of grain, the asset will strengthen the position of the grain trader in Kharkiv region, which is profitable for agribusiness, the company’s website says. “Thanks to the Zolochiv elevator complex, we want to provide farmers with a new quality of services, including the services of Agromarket. Due to the new asset, Prometey Group plans to strengthen its position in Kharkiv region,” regional director of the elevator direction Dmytro Maksymenko said.
Prometey clarified that the Zolochiv elevator with a simultaneous storage capacity of 30,000 tonnes is certified for storage of grain and oilseeds. The complex has a grain-cleaning separator with a capacity of 100 tonnes/hour, and grain dryers with a capacity of 64 tonnes/hour.
The capacity of unloading grain by the elevator to railway transport is 400 tonnes/day, and the granary is also equipped with three truck unloaders. Weighing is carried out on scales with a carrying capacity of 60 tonnes and a platform length of 16 meters.
The company noted that the decision to expand the presence of Prometey at the expense of Kharkiv region is dictated by the high technical efficiency of agriculture in this region. The company referred to the studies of the Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) and the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club association according to which Kharkiv region is one of the “references” for agricultural activities, and the stable growth of acreage and production of agricultural products favorably influences the development of the elevator industry.
Prometey recalled the Agromarket program, operating on the basis of each elevator in the chain, and allowing the company’s client farmers to purchase the necessary agricultural goods in one place, including on the security of the future harvest.

MARKS & SPENCER RETURNS TO KHARKIV REGION

Marka Ukraine (Kyiv), the office representative of the British Marks & Spencer brand in Ukraine, early February opened a new store in the French Boulevard shopping center in Kharkiv.
“We are pleased to reopen the doors of our store for Kharkiv citizens. Opening a new store in the city was a priority in 2018,” Marka Ukraine’s press service reported, citing CEO Bulent Temel.
Before the crisis in Ukraine, the Marks & Spencer store operated in Kharkiv in the Karavan shopping center, but was subsequently closed.
According to the press release, the area of the new store is 500 square meters.
The Marks & Spencer network as of February 2019 is represented in Ukraine by five stores in Kyiv, one each – in Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv and Kharkiv.
Marka Ukraine LLC was created in 2006. It is fully owned by concern Fiba (Turkey). The company is developing a network of stores Marks & Spencer in the franchise segment in Ukraine.

BURISMA TO INVEST UAH 60 MLN IN CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GAS PIPELINE IN KHARKIV REGION

Burisma Group, a gas producer, in January 2019 started building a gas pipeline that would connect Vodianivske and Karaikozivske fields in Kharkiv region and plans to invest UAH 60 million in the project, the company’s press service has reported.
The company expects that the new gas pipeline will allow boosting efficiency of operation and management of flows between the two fields. The length of the new gas pipeline will be 16.6 km.

NOVAAGRO COMMISSIONS FIRST LINE OF POULTRY COMPLEX IN KHARKIV REGION

Novaagro group of companies in October 2018 commissioned the first line of the Morozivka Agro poultry complex (Kharkiv region) with a capacity of 220,000 birds.
“The company announced plans for reconstruction in April of this year, and in October 2018 put into operation the first line with a capacity of 220,000 birds,” the report on the group’s website says.
At the same time, the group acquired Balakliya Poultry Breeding Company, which owns two operating poultry farms and a slaughterhouse with a capacity of 3,000 birds per hour (all facilities are located in Kharkiv region).
“Thus, after the reconstruction and acquisition of the existing sites, Morozivka Agro poultry complex consists of three poultry farms with a total capacity of 650,000 birds and a slaughter plant with a capacity of 3,000 birds per hour,” the group noted.
Novaagro group of companies has been working in agribusiness in the Ukrainian and international markets since 2009. The group includes four operating companies specializing in cultivation, sale, export of grains and oilseeds, poultry farming, warehousing, production and sale of animal feed, wheat flour, and granulated bran.
