The Nova Poshta group of companies plans to launch Kharkiv Sorting Center in September 2020, Volodymyr Popereshniuk, the co-owner of the company, has said.
“Construction is being carried out at the planned pace. Now 200 people are working on the site, construction work should be completed by May. Then we will begin the installation of equipment. The launch is in September 2020,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Popereshniuk noted that the center will consist of two buildings. The first of them is designed for sorting, its capacity will be 20,000 shipments per hour, the second will be a cargo terminal with a planned capacity of 100 tonnes per hour. Cargo will be moved inside the facilities with the help of assistant robots.
As reported, in September 2019 Nova Poshta opened a two-hall innovative sorting terminal in Lviv.
In 2019, Nova Poshta, together with the transport airline Eleron, began a test implementation of the project for air delivery of shipments.
In 2019, the company delivered 212 million shipments, which is 22% more than in 2017.

Belarusian Belavia airline from April 30, 2020 will increase the frequency of direct flights from/to Kharkiv to/from Minsk from five to seven a week.

Kharkiv IT Cluster predicts a 25% increase in the IT industry in the region by the end of 2019. “According to the dynamics of the last two years, in 2019 we expect growth in the industry in the region by at least 25% compared with the results of 2018,” Kharkiv IT Cluster CEO Olha Shapoval said, commenting on the results of Kharkiv IT Research 2.0.

The Irish low cost carrier Ryanair (Dublin) from January 16, 2020 opens direct flights from Kharkiv to Budapest (Hungary).

The Ukrainian low cost airline SkyUp Airlines (Kyiv) will launch direct regular flights from Kharkiv to Kyiv from October 25.
According to the company’s press service, flights will be operated three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The cost of a one-way ticket without baggage is from UAH 498.
“Thus, Kharkiv citizens will be able to fly to the capital with two air carriers: UIA and SkyUp Airlines,” the carrier said in a statement.
On October 29, SkyUp Airlines will resume flights to Sharjah (the UAE). Their cost will start from UAH 3,218 one way.
