The cost of renting country houses in Kyiv region decreased by 40% in May-June 2022 compared to last year, while near large cities and in western Ukraine, rental housing has risen in price, according to data from the OLX Real Estate portal.
According to it, the cost of renting a house in Kyiv region is on average UAH 38,000/month, while in Lviv region the figure is UAH 15,000/month, in Zakarpattia region – UAH 12,000/month, and in Odesa region – UAH 6,800/month.
At the same time, part of the house can be rented in any part of Ukraine for UAH 4,000-5,500/month, while in Zakarpattia region the average cost of renting part of the house reaches UAH 13,000/month.
Kyiv region accounts for most offers for the rental of suburban real estate in May-June – about 5,500 ads, which is 88% more than in the same period last year. This is followed by Dnipropetrovsk (989 ads), Lviv (846), Zakarpattia (705) and Odesa (495) regions.
According to OLX, a total of 10,500 ads were placed in relatively safe areas from May 1 to June 20, which is 2.5 times more than a year ago.
Entire houses predominate among the offers (69% of the total number of ads). There are significantly fewer proposals for cottages (11%), parts of a house (9%), summer houses (6%) and townhouses (3%).

On December 24, 2020, the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine included the Paton industrial park (Kyiv region) in the register of industrial parks. The park, the initiator of which was the Pilot Paton Plant (Kyiv), the manufacturer of welding equipment, has an area of 17.0597 hectares.
According to the information on the ministry’s website, the planned life of the park, located on the territory of the Hlevakha village council of Fastiv district, is 30 years. It is planned to create up to 2,000 jobs.

The Ukrainian-Indonesian company Pravitna Genius Sel in partnership with the Canadian company Immunitor (Vancouver) plans to launch pharmaceutical production in Kyiv region by the end of the year.
Freddy Cahyono, the CEO of Provitna Genius Sel, told Interfax-Ukraine that the respective agreement of intent was signed on October 7 by the representatives of the companies with the participation of the Indonesian Embassy in Ukraine.
Pravitna Genius Sel’s investments in launching production in Kyiv region amounted to about $1 million. By the end of 2020, the company plans to obtain a GMP certificate.
One of the first drugs, the production of which is planned by Pravitna Genius Sel, will be a drug that will stimulate the immune system, which will not only treat diseases, but also prevent their occurrence.
For the production of the drug, Canadian raw materials will be used. Freddy Cahyono noted that the drug, which will be produced in Ukraine, is to be exported abroad, in particular to Indonesia. By the end of the year, the company intends to register the medicine in Ukraine.
In turn, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine Yuddy Chrisnandi noted the high export potential of the drugs produced in Ukraine.
“These drugs will be able to be used not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world, including in Indonesia. I hope that they will contribute to the fight against epidemics,” he said.
