ONE OF THE LARGEST PRODUCERS OF BREAD IN UKRAINE OPENS EUR15 MLN PLANT NEAR KYIV

One of the largest producers of bread in Ukraine opens EUR15 mln plant near Kyiv
KYIV. Nov 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Khlibni Investytsii Holding LLC, one of the largest producers of bread and bakery goods in Ukraine, has opened the Chanta Mount plant for production of frozen bakery products in the village of Novi Petrivtsi near Kyiv. According to a report on the company’s website, at the initial stage the investment in the project amounted to EUR15 million, after putting into operation all the necessary capacities it will exceed EUR25 million.
“Even today Chanta can produce almost 30 tonnes of ciabatta, French baguettes and other artisan breads per day. After installing additional lines, the capacity will increase to 90 tonnes per day. Thus, Chanta Mount has become one of the largest companies of such specialization in Europe,” the report says.
“We plan to sell 50% of our products in Ukraine, and the rest to sell for exports. We have a very powerful R&D department, which will develop the most interesting recipes for customers,” company founder Yuriy Tryndiuk said.
The report says the main buyers of these types of semi-finished products are bakeries in supermarkets and trade centers, mini-bakeries, fuel filling stations, the HoReCa sector, and the service of food delivery to offices.
Khlibni Investytsii Holding assesses its share in the Ukrainian market of bakery products at 8%, ranks third among the largest bread companies. It produces about 132,000 tonnes of goods per year.

BUDGET OF KYIV FOR 2019 WILL BE UAH 53 BLN – VITALI KLITSCHKO

The budget of Kyiv for 2019 is planned at the level of UAH 53 billion, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration has reported.
“The budget of the capital for 2019 is planned at the level of UAH 53 billion,” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
According to the mayor, in recent years the Kyiv authorities have managed to increase revenues to the capital budget. The budget of Kyiv for 2018 grew by almost UAH 4 billion. And this allowed realizing many necessary infrastructure projects.
This year, at the expense of the city budget, it was possible to overhaul over 800 kilometers of roads. Bicycle paths appeared in the city, it became possible to build or completely reconstruct 19 kindergartens and seven schools, to implement many other projects.

LITHUANIAN PRESIDENT TO VISIT KYIV

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite will visit Ukraine in a few days, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said. “Dalia Grybauskaite, President of Lithuania … will be in Kyiv in a few days as my guest, a guest of Ukraine,” Poroshenko said during a meeting with students of the National University of Trade and Economics in Kyiv.

HUNGARIAN COMPANY OPENS FIRST CO-WORKING SPACE IN KYIV

The Hungarian company New Work Serviced Offices on November 16 opened the first co-working space in Ukraine, an object of 960 square meters located on the third floor of the Globus 2 shopping center on the Independence Square in Kyiv.
According to the press service of the trade center, the New Work Labs Globus smart space includes meeting rooms, a conference room for up to 60 people, an event area, skype rooms, a kitchen, recreational islands, and its own coffee bar.
“Residents receive individual access to the space through a mobile application, thanks to the use of the KISI system,” the report says.
In addition, co-working residents in the Globus shopping center will be able to work not only in the Kyiv location, but also in Budapest, Warsaw, and Prague. The company currently manages 12 locations in Eastern Europe.
According to the press service, the co-working service offers tariff plans from four hours a day to monthly tariffs with a fixed individual workplace or a private office for the whole team. At the same time, it is possible to work in co-working 24/7.
New Work Labs (Hungary) was established in 2012 and is engaged in the provision of co-working space for the needs of growing companies and individuals.

WIZZ AIR TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS ON TWO NEW DIRECTIONS – FROM KRAKOW (POLAND) TO KYIV AND KHARKIV

The Hungarian low cost carrier WizzAir in Ukraine plans to launch flights on two new directions – from Krakow (Poland) to Kyiv from April 5 and Kharkiv from September 16, 2019.
“Two new Airbus A321 aircraft will support the work of twelve new routes from Krakow to London, Kyiv, Bari, Catania, Larnaca, Nice, Turku, Billund, Doncaster, Kharkiv, Oslo, and Kutaisi,” the airline reported.
According to information on the company’s website, flights to Kyiv will begin from April 5, 2019, to Kharkiv from September 16, 2019. The schedule for both flights is available until October 25, 2019, prices start from UAH 609.
Kyiv-Krakow-Kyiv flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (departure to Krakow at 18:15, back at 19:20 local time), Kharkiv-Krakow-Kharkiv flights on Mondays and Fridays (departure to Krakow at 17:45, back at 14:05 local time).

LARGE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FROM POLAND COULD COMPLETE SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX IN KYIV

Unibep S.A., one of the largest construction companies in the Polish market, has signed a conditional agreement on completing the construction of a shopping and entertainment complex in Kyiv with the Ukrainian company Martin LLC (Kyiv), part of the Lithuanian investment group BT Invest. According to a report by Unibep S.A. on the stock exchange, the contract was concluded on October 30, 2018. The condition for its entry into force is the receipt by Martin LLC of a loan from Poland’s Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego S.A. (BGK) and the availability of a written confirmation of the entry into force of the loan agreement.
According to the report, the cost of the construction contract will be EUR34.6 million. At the same time, the customer makes an advance payment of 15% to Unibep S.A. at its own expense, while the remaining 85% will be financed by a loan provided by BGK.
The implementation period is 14 months from the date of commencement of construction.
BT Invest Group, in particular, Stolitsa Group investment and development company, which is part of it, is currently developing the project for the construction of the Retroville shopping and entertainment center at 47 Pravdy Avenue in Kyiv, whose commissioning was scheduled for 2019. The project partner is BT-Invest investment company, the exclusive broker is Colliers International (Ukraine).
