“VUSO” will insure vehicles of National Police in Odessa region

On May 15 the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa region announced its intention to conclude a motor insurance contract with IC “VUSO” (Kyiv) – 908 vehicles.
According to a message in the system of electronic public procurement Prozorro, the expected value of the purchase of services was 1.883 million UAH, the company offered 1.451 million UAH.
IC “Euroins Ukraine” participated in the tender with the price offer of UAH 1,4 mln.
IC “VUSO” was founded in 2001. The company owns 50 licenses: 34 – for voluntary and 16 – for compulsory types of insurance, it is represented in all regions of Ukraine. It is a member of MTSBU and FSA, a member of the Agreement on direct settlement of losses and a member of the Nuclear Insurance Pool.

UKRAINE WORKING ON NATIONAL DRUG POLICY STRATEGY UNTIL 2030

The Ministry of Health continues working on the National Drug Policy Strategy and will soon submit it to the central authorities for approval, Deputy Health Minister Ihor Ivaschenko said during a press briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
“The Ministry of Health continues working on the National Drug Policy Strategy until 2030. The Strategy provides for the continuation of the actions that were in the strategy until 2020 and are aimed at reducing the demand for psychoactive substances, reducing the illicit trafficking of psychoactive substances, drugs, precursors, etc,” he said.
According to Ivaschenko, within the framework of the strategy, four strategic goals were formulated:
– promoting a healthy lifestyle, promoting public health and reducing the demand for psychoactive substances;
– reduction of illegal traffic and seizure of psychoactive substances;
– providing the population with the necessary narcotic drugs;
– development of preventive, diagnostic, medical and socio-psychological institutions to support patients with mental disorders or behavioral disorders due to the use of psychoactive substances.

UKRAINIAN NATIONAL POLICE STARTS REFORMATTING JUVENILE PREVENTION UNIT

The reformatting of the juvenile prevention unit has begun in the National Police of Ukraine, the department of communication of the department reported on Thursday, May 13.
During the Ukraine 30 All-Ukrainian Forum, head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko said that now the department continues to recruit new personnel for the so-called “children’s police”, which will receive additional trainings from international partners. The police are also introducing two communication platforms in their work with children – “Children! Police! Society” and “Safe School”.
“We hope that international trainings and programs will significantly help police officers in working with children. We learn to communicate with children in the same language to recognize trouble even before it manifests itself. We have a common goal – to prevent crimes involving or against minors,” he said.
According to the head of the National Police, since the beginning of the year, the police have registered more than 1,200 crimes committed against children. In addition, more than 1,400 criminal offenses committed by children were recorded.
“There are 15,000 secondary schools in the state, several thousand colleges. We should know how children live, how they spend their free time, how they are brought up in a family,” Klymenko said.

MAJORITY OF UKRAINIAN POLICE OFFICERS CONSIDER REFORM OF NATIONAL POLICE UNSUCCESSFUL

The reform of the National Police of Ukraine is considered successful by 13.9% of National Police officers and 32% of patrol officers, according to the study “National Monitoring of Unlawful Police Violence in 2020” conducted by Kharkiv Institute for Social Research.
According to the results of the survey, 58.5% of police employees and 37.6% of patrol police consider transformations in the National Police unsuccessful. The option “the reform is not finished yet” was chosen by 26% and 28.8% of the respondents, respectively. 1.6% of the polled police and patrol officers believe that changes in the structure have not yet begun.
The survey of employees of the National Police of Ukraine was carried out using the methods of group questionnaires and surveys using an online form. The sample can be considered representative of the employees of the National Police of Ukraine as a whole. The statistical error with a probability of 0.95 does not exceed 3.0% for data close to 50%, 2.6% – for data close to 25% or 75%, and 1.8% – for data close to 10% or 90%.
