The American company Palantir, a developer of data analysis software for organizations, is ready to become a partner of Ukraine in the defense, security and digital technologies sector, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said.
“Today, together with Volodymyr Zelensky, we’ve met with Palantir CEO Alex Karp. Palantir is the world leader in the development of data analysis software. The company’s products are used by the US Department of Defense, large investment banks and hedge funds. I would like to thank Palantir CEO Alex Karp, who responded to the invitation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and was the first of the general directors of large Western corporations to personally come to Ukraine,” the minister said on Telegram.
According to him, the company is ready to open an office in Ukraine and start joint developments with Ukrainian specialists.
“Further cooperation with Palantir will help strengthen our army and defeat the enemy as soon as possible, because technology plays a big role in modern warfare,” Fedorov stressed.
Palantir is an American company that develops data analysis software for organizations, the main customers are intelligence agencies, investment banks, and hedge funds. It was founded in 2003 by a group of investors who came from PayPal.

At a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal welcomed the intention of the OECD to open a regional office in Kyiv.
“I informed the OECD Secretary-General about the creation in Ukraine of a plan and a fund for the restoration of our state. We strive to change the country and the economic model, based on the best world standards. Our goal is based on the principles promoted by the Ukrainian people: a European future, a transparent state and an open economy,” Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel following the meeting.
The prime minister said it is important for Ukraine to use the best practices of the OECD and implement them in the near future.
“I welcomed the intention to open a regional office of the OECD in Kyiv, this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen and accelerate our cooperation,” Shmyhal said.
Shmyhal also said the ‘green’ economy is the basic principle of the new economic model of Ukraine.
“Russia has destroyed and continues to destroy our infrastructure. There is no point in returning to the old models, so we intend to restore it according to modern principles and the latest technologies,” he said.
In addition, the prime minister said that Ukraine intends to make corporatization even more efficient, and in this matter counts on active assistance from the OECD.
On April 11, the Prometey group of companies resumed the work of its Kiev office, while its main office in Nikolaev has not stopped working since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the grain trader’s website reported on Friday.
The owner of the holding, Rafael Goroyan, noted in a message that the Kyiv staff of Prometey is returning to the production process, since now the city is calm and safe.
The grain trader clarified that he still does not have access to 3 thousand hectares in the Snigirevsky district of the Nikolaev region due to the occupation of part of the region by Russian troops, while the total land bank of Prometey is 20 thousand hectares.
In the territory controlled by Ukraine, out of 17 thousand hectares, 10 thousand hectares have already been sown with winter crops, sunflower is being planted in the remaining areas.
“Prometey” recalled that in mid-March, Russian invaders attacked the offices of the production companies “VK Prometey” (Peski village) and Agro Capital Center LLC (AKC, Dobraya Krinitsa village, both – Mykolaiv region), where they destroyed / x and office equipment, documentation, weighing and monitoring systems. The explosion in the office of a legal association, which occurred on Tuesday night in Kyiv, may be linked to the professional activities of lawyers.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, the explosion occurred in the office of the Revealing Information legal association.
Managing partner Oleksandr Keyer told Interfax-Ukraine that the explosion may be related to the professional activities of the company’s lawyers, who are currently conducting several criminal cases.
“This is for sure related to work. I don’t yet understand what specific case, but it is 100% related to work. As a lawyer, I take a principled position in the proceedings. I am sure that these events occurred because of our principled position. Somewhere, some criminals decided to scare us so that we would change our principles and rules for representing the interests of the client,” he said.
At the same time, Keyer said that at present, he and the company’s lawyers have not received any threats or demands.
He also said that, according to law enforcement agencies, the grenade launcher from which the shot was made at the company’s office was Russian-made.
As reported, on Tuesday night, an explosion occurred in one of the buildings in the Shevchenkivsky district of Kyiv. According to the preliminary estimates, a shot was fired from an RPG-26 rocket propelled grenade. Israel’s Similarweb, one of the leading digital intelligence companies that carried out an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in May this year, announced the opening of two new European offices in Kyiv, Ukraine and Munich, Germany.
“Similarweb’s Kyiv office will employ over 50 R&D and IT professionals, and this number is expected to triple in the next two years,” the company said on its website.
According to the report, the Kyiv office will serve as a technical center, employing a highly skilled workforce in Ukraine, and is intended to be an important part of Similarweb’s global success.
The Munich office will carry out mainly commercial, marketing and technical functions, in particular, among the company’s clients there are already a number of leading German brands, including Adidas and DHL.
Similarweb, headquartered in Tel Aviv, clarifies that it has increased its headcount in all 13 global offices this year and plans to continue its rapid global expansion in the new year.
At the IPO in May of this year, the company was valued at $ 1.6 billion.
