The Varus supermarket chain will open its first store in Vinnytsia on July 3, according to the company’s press office.
The new store is located in the PetroCenter shopping mall (70 Kotsyubynskoho Ave.). It offers everything needed for daily and family shopping: fresh meat and fish, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, baked goods, ready-to-eat meals, and delicacies. The store will feature a VARUS CAFE serving coffee and pizza, a bakery section, a WOK station, self-checkout lanes, and Scan&Go for quick purchases. Customers can also order items on VARUS.UA for pickup at this store at a convenient time.
According to the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers, this store is opening on the site of the former “EKO Market” supermarket, which was the chain’s last location in the city.
Varus is a national supermarket chain represented in Ukraine’s grocery retail market by the company “Omega.” The first store opened in 2003 in Dnipro. In 2025, seven new stores were opened. Currently, the total number stands at 119 supermarkets in various cities across Ukraine.
The chain operates in several formats: traditional supermarkets, To Go stores, and the Varus.ua online store.
According to the company, its network’s turnover in 2025 increased by 19.5% to 28.8 billion UAH. Tax payments to budgets at all levels totaled 1.99 billion UAH, which is 13.45% more than in 2024.

According to Fixygen, PJSC “Sambir Instrument-Making Plant ‘Omega’” will hold a general meeting of shareholders on April 6, 2026. The company remains an active industrial enterprise in the Lviv region and continues to operate in the instrument-making and electrical equipment sector.
According to Opendatabot, the plant was registered in November 1995 in Sambir; its director is Petro Moshumansky, and its primary activity is the production of electrical distribution and control equipment. “Omega” manufactures measuring and control instruments for the nuclear power, metallurgy, gas, oil production, and chemical industries.

Kyiv-based Omega insurance company ended 2020 with a net profit of UAH 33.3 million, while it ended 2019 with a net loss of UAH 4.3 million, follows from the agenda of the shareholders’ meeting released in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine.
It is noted the company’s retained loss of amounted to UAH 94.639 million over 2020, while UAH 168.5 million in 2019.
The company also said as of December 31, 2020, its assets increased by 7.2%, to UAH 575.443 million, cash and their equivalent by 4.8 times, to UAH 43.579 million, equity by 7.6%, to UAH 491.627 million, while accounts receivable decreased by 17.3%, to UAH 93.820 million.
The company’s long-term liabilities increased by 9.8%, to UAH 66.861 million over 2020, current ones decreased by 12.3%, to UAH 16.955 million.
Omega insurance company was established in 1994 and operates on the basis of 25 licenses.
