Chinese Foreign Ministry special envoy Li Hui will visit Ukraine on May 16-17, Reuters reported, citing a Ukrainian government representative.
“Li Hui, China’s special envoy for Eurasian affairs and former ambassador to Russia, will visit Ukraine, Russia and other European cities as part of a trip that Beijing says is aimed at discussing a ‘political settlement’ of the Ukrainian crisis,” the report said Monday.
Earlier, it was reported that Li Hui will travel to Ukraine, Russia and European countries from May 15 to discuss the settlement of the situation around Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Maxim Subkh as Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa.
The corresponding decree is dated July 12 and published on the website of the head of state.
