Imports of electric telephone or telegraph sets and videophones (HS Code 8517) into Ukraine in January–June 2026 increased by 83.6% compared to the same period in 2025—to nearly $1.23 billion, according to statistics from the State Customs Service.
According to the statistics, imports of these products in June alone rose nearly 2.2 times compared to June of last year—reaching $234.8 million.
The largest volume of these products in January–June was imported from China (50.7%, or $621 million); they were also imported from the United States ($155.3 million) and Vietnam ($108.7 million), whereas last year the top sources were China ($362.6 million), Vietnam ($103.5 million), and the United States ($56.3 million).
At the same time, exports of these products from Ukraine in the first half of the year totaled $62.5 million (in January–June 2025 — $60 million). Shipments were made primarily to Hungary (70.2%), Poland (18%), and Taiwan (8.4%). During the same period last year, these products were also exported primarily to Hungary (71.5%), as well as to Poland (23%) and Spain (1%).
According to the State Customs Service, as previously reported, in 2025, Ukraine imported telephone and telegraph equipment and videophones worth nearly $1.634 billion—29.5% more than in 2024—including $907.9 million worth from China.
Imports of electric telephone or telegraph apparatus and videophones (HS 8517) to Ukraine in January 2026 increased by 49.2% compared to the same month in 2025, reaching $177.8 million, according to statistics from the State Customs Service.
According to statistics, the largest volume of these products was imported from China (58.1%, or $103.3 million), they were also imported from the UK (9.2%, $16.3 million) and the US (8.8%, $15.6 million), while last year it was China ($65 million), Vietnam ($21 million), and Taiwan ($13.6 million).
At the same time, exports of these products from Ukraine in January amounted to $10.4 million (in January 2025 – $10.5 million). Supplies were mainly to Hungary (65%), Poland (22%), and Taiwan (6.8%). In the same month last year, products were exported mainly to Hungary (67%), Poland (27%), and Spain (2.9%).
According to the State Customs Service, in 2025, telephone or telegraph apparatus and videophones worth almost $1.634 billion were imported into Ukraine, which is 29.5% more than in 2024, including $907.9 million from China.
Imports of electric telephone or telegraph apparatus and videophones (HS 8517) to Ukraine in January-November increased by 27.6% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $1.436 billion, according to statistics from the State Customs Service.
According to statistics, the largest volume of these products was imported from China (55.4%, or $795.7 million), Vietnam (15.3%, $220 million), and the United States (8.2%, $117.9 million). Last year, it was also China (64%, $720.6 million), Vietnam (16.3%, $183.6 million), and the United States (4.3%, $48.2 million).
In November this year, Ukraine imported telephone and telegraph equipment worth $159.8 million, which is 33.6% more than a year ago.
At the same time, exports of these products from Ukraine in January-November 2025 amounted to $111.2 million, which is 32.2% more than in the first 11 months of last year. Supplies were mainly to Hungary (70.2%), Poland (23.9%), and the Netherlands (less than 1%). During the same period in 2024, products were exported mainly to the same countries, but Hungary’s share was 63.4%, Poland’s was 27.8%, and the Netherlands’ was 3.6%.

Imports of electric telephone or telegraph apparatus and videophones (HS 8517) to Ukraine in January-September increased by 24.4% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $1.12 billion, according to statistics from the State Customs Service.
According to statistics, the largest volume of these products was imported from China (54.6% or $613 million), Vietnam (15.2% or $171.2 million), and the United States (8.5% or $95.4 million), while last year it was China (64.1% or $579.1 million), Vietnam (16.3% or $147.1 million), and Malaysia (4.2% or $38 million).
At the same time, exports of these products from Ukraine in January-September 2025 amounted to $92.5 million, 42% more than in the first nine months of last year, mainly to Hungary (71.5%), Poland (23.3%), and the Netherlands (less than 1%). During the same period in 2024, products were exported mainly to the same countries, but Hungary accounted for 60%, Poland for 30.4%, and the Netherlands for 4.5%.
