UKRAINE ANNOUNCES TENDER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THREE HYDROCARBON DEPOSITS

Ukraine has announced a tender for the development of three more hydrocarbon deposits, including Hrunivske (Sumy and Poltava regions), Okhtyrske (Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions), and Ichnianske (Chernihiv region) on the basis of production sharing agreements (PSA).
The corresponding announcements about the tender were published in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper on August 3.
The area of Hrunivske deposit is 1,083 square kilometers, that of Okhtyrske some 672 square kilometers, and Ichnianske some 2,086 square kilometers. According to the terms of the tender documentation, approved at the end of 2018, the winners on the first and second fields will have to ensure the drilling of at least two exploratory wells and conduct 3D seismic surveys during the first stage of exploration (the first five years). The winner on the third lot will have to ensure the drilling at least three wells and conducting 3D seismic surveys.
The minimum investment for Hrunivske and Okhtyrske deposits is UAH 500 million UAH, and that for Ichnianske some UAH 900 million.
The PSA is valid for 50 years. The state’s share in profitable products should be at least 11% of its total volume, the maximum share of compensation products, due to which the investor will be reimbursed for his expenses, is 70% of the total production. Applications for participation in the tenders are accepted within three months from the date of publication of the announcement of the tenders.

U.S.-BASED TRIDENT ACQUISITIONS ANNOUNCES VICTORY IN TENDER FOR PSA IN UKRAINE

U.S.-based Trident Acquisitions Corp. has been recognized the winner of the tender for the development of the Dolphin hydrocarbon section on the Black Sea shelf on the basis of a production sharing agreement (PSA), company CEO and one of its shareholders Ilya Ponomarev has said. “It was a difficult struggle, but our application was significantly more profitable for Ukraine,” he said on Facebook.
Ex-State Duma deputy Ponomarev, to whom Petro Poroshenko granted Ukrainian citizenship in May of this year, thanked the government and personally Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk for the trust. “We promise not to let you down and to do everything possible to start production as soon as possible!” he said.
As reported, on April 12, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers announced a tender for the development of hydrocarbons within the Dolphin section on the Black Sea shelf under PSA terms. The term of the agreement is 50 years.

POLISH COMPANY PLANS TO PARTICIPATE IN TENDER TO DEVELOP OIL AND GAS FIELD IN UKRAINE

The interdepartmental commission organizing and implementing the product sharing agreements (PSA) has received a bid from Poland’s Unimot seeking to participate in a tender to develop the Ivanivske field (Kharkiv region) under PSA, Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers Roman Opimakh has said on his Facebook page.
“Today [on June 6], the 14th company was registered, which submitted an application for participation in the tender for entering into a PSA for the Ivanivske field. It became the third candidate for this lot, which gives the right to explore and produce fossil fuel in Kharkiv region. This is the Polish concern Unimot selling automotive fuels and such commodities as gas and electricity,” he wrote.
Opimakh said that the procedure of the tender allows the acceptance of applications for participation sent by mail subject to the availability of a mail stamp confirming the sending of the main meeting the deadline – May 28.
He also said that at present, the company has no experience in exploration and production, however, Opimakh said that joint development with some specialized company is not ruled out.
Unimot S.A is an energy company which activities include the import and sale of petroleum products, liquefied natural gas and electricity.
Previously, the company has repeatedly reported about entering the Ukrainian fuel market with the AVIA network of gas stations.

SOLARGAPS FROM UKRAINE WINS TENDER FOR ENERGY TRANSITION SOLUTIONS IN GERMANY

The Ukrainian company SolarGaps, which developed blinds with integrated solar panels, has won The Smarter E AWARD 2019 tender for energy transition solutions in Munich, the press service of the public organization Greencubator has reported.
The project won the nomination Smart Renewable Energy in the tender of the innovation hub The Smarter E, whose activities are aimed at the development of industry solutions.
Earlier, SolarGaps won the Climate Innovation Vouchers program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and also received EUR1 million from the European Union’s framework program for the development of research and technology Horizon 2020.

ENERGOATOM ANNOUNCES TENDER TO BUILD SOLAR PLANT NEAR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

Energoatom has announced a tender for the supply of equipment and materials for the solar power plant Sonechko-1, which is to be built in the territory of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP).
According to the ProZorro system, the corresponding auction is scheduled for June 24. The expected cost of work is UAH 270.52 million.
Energoatom proposes to supply 48,900 single-crystal or polycrystalline Risen photovoltaic modules with a capacity of 310–320 W, some 360 network inverters, 13 complete substations of 0.4/6 kV and one substation of 35/6kV, as well as 119,300 meters of copper cable.
Energoatom announced the intention to build a solar plant with a capacity of about 15 MW at Zaporizhia NPP in 2017. Since then, there have been preparatory work: design, geodetic studies. It was assumed that the solar station will be located on 37 hectares, in the territory of hydraulic structures between the cooling pond and the Kaniv water reservoir.

UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES TENDER TO DEVELOP SHELF UNDER PRODUCT SHARING AGREEMENT

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 12 announced a tender to develop the Dolphin Black Sea shelf section under the product sharing agreement (PSA). Government resolution No. 70 dated April 12, 2019 has been published in the Uriadovy Kurier government’s newspaper. The term of the PSA is 50 years. The winner of the tender must provide a geological survey of the subsoil at the site, including the drilling of at least five wells during the first stage (five years) of geological exploration. The minimum investment that must be made in this period will be determined by the results of the tender, but must be at least UAH 1.5 billion.
The maximum part of compensation products, thanks to which the investor can be compensated for his expenses, is 70% of the total volume of production. The share of the state in profitable products should be at least 11% of its total volume.
In order to promote the holding of a fair tender, persons who have special permits to use subsoil but do not properly implement the subsoil programs are not allowed to participate in the tender.
As reported, the initiative to develop the Dolphin section belongs to Frontera Resources, engaged in the exploration and production of gas and oil.
