More than 70% of respondents surveyed by sociologists have said they support the idea of dissolving the Verkhovna Rada and holding early parliamentary elections, according to a poll conducted by the Rating sociological group on May 16-21, 2019 and published on Wednesday. At the same time, the highest level of support for the dissolution of parliament and the holding of early elections is in the South and the East of Ukraine which is more than 80%. In other regions, the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada is supported by at least 60% of the respondents.
“There is a certain difference in the attitude to the holding of early elections among the supporters of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc’s Solidarity Party, most of whom are against this initiative,” the release of the Rating says.
The audience of the survey is the population of Ukraine who is older than 18 years. The sample is representative by age, gender, region, and type of settlement. The sample of population is 2,000 respondents, who were interviewed by means of face-to-face talk. An error of representativeness of the study is no more than 2.2%.
In 2018, the Russian Federation granted citizenship to 83,081 citizens of Ukraine, according to statistics on the migration situation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In particular, 83,081 Ukrainians received Russian citizenship (accepted, restored, recognized) in January-December. Also during this period, a decision was made to issue 64,861 residence permits for Ukrainians (currently, 170,638 Ukrainians live by residence permits in Russia).
In addition, in 2018, citizens of Ukraine received 77,075 permits for temporary residence (160,706 Ukrainians currently live under such permits in the Russian Federation).

The Government of Thailand has introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine visiting that country for tourism for a period of up to 30 days, President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine has said. “I herewith hail the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukraine by the Government of Thailand! From now on, Ukrainian citizens will be able to travel to that country without spending their time on visa formalities for tourism purposes for a period of up to 30 days,” Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on November 22. As reported earlier, the Government of Thailand discontinued a $60 consular fee applied on arrival to Ukrainian nationals on November 15.
