UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES INTRODUCTION OF SO-CALLED ECONOMIC PASSPORT

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction in Ukraine of the so-called economic passport of a Ukrainian and explained how it will work.
“According to it, all children born in Ukraine will be able to receive funds from the use and extraction of subsoil of Ukraine until the age of 18. These funds will accumulate on their personal deposit account in the bank. And after reaching adulthood, they will be able to spend it on higher education in Ukraine,” Zelensky said in a video message posted on his Facebook page.
According to Zelensky, Ukrainian authorities will soon present a mechanism to implement such a passport.

UKRAINE WANTS TO EXPORT IT PRODUCTS – UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his working visit to Japan met with top managers of the Japan Association of New Economy (JANE) and said that the IT sector is one of the most dynamically developing in Ukraine. Zelensky also shared plans to develop it.
“We plan to develop innovative infrastructure by opening business incubators, accelerators and innovative platforms, opening landmark R&D centers of global corporations, creating innovative or startup platforms in higher education institutions,” the press service of the Office of the President said on Wednesday morning, citing Zelensky.
According to the report, Japanese businessmen became interested in the State in the Smartphone project. Zelensky said that the digitalization reform is under his personal control.
The head of state also announced Ukraine’s desire to create a competitive IT product.
“In the Western world, our IT specialists are perceived as cheap labor. It is important for us to change this. We want to create IT products and sell them in the world,” he said.
Representatives of the association told the President of Ukraine about examples of successful innovative projects for the use of artificial intelligence in Japan, which have already proved their effectiveness in various fields of life. It is about tourism, entertainment and cybersecurity.

U.S. AND UKRAINE CONTINUE TO PREPARE VISIT OF UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT TO UNITED STATES

The United States and Ukraine continue to prepare for the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States, Kurt Volker, the Special Representative of the U.S. State Department for Ukraine Negotiations, said. “We are working on President Zelensky visit to the White House,” Volker said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.
As reported, on July 25, U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a telephone conversation agreed to substantively discuss practical issues of Ukrainian-American cooperation during the visit of the Ukrainian head of state to the United States.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT PLANS TO GO TO UNITED STATES THIS SUMMER

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made it clear that his visit to the United States may take place this summer.
“Discussions are under way. Everyone has a busy calendar, they are looking into dates. It may happen in summer, as I understand,” he told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on the way from Mariyinsky Palace to the Presidential Office after the Ukraine-EU summit.
In the middle of June, Kurt Volker, the United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations, said that the exact date of Zelensky’s visit to Washington, D.C., had not been set yet. “Donald Trump sent an invitation to President Zelensky to visit the White House. However, the dates of this visit are to be agreed,” he said.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT WANTS TO DISMISS ALL REGIONAL GOVERNORS

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has voiced the opinion that all incumbent heads of regional state administrations in Ukraine should be replaced.
“The president’s position is the following: all the heads of the regional state administrations must be dismissed,” presidential press secretary Yulia Mendel said at a briefing on Monday.
As it was reported, on June 5, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the president’s draft resolutions on the dismissal of 13 regional governors.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT WANTS TO PROPOSE CHANGES TO CONSTITUTION TO INCORPORATE EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION STRATEGY

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko intends to initiate amendments to the Constitution in the near future to incorporate the country’s strategy for Euro-Atlantic integration. “In the near future, I intend to initiate changes to the Constitution in order to make this process irreversible, incorporating into the Constitution the strategic goal of the development of the state – a membership in the European Union and a membership in the North Atlantic Alliance,” Poroshenko said during the events on the occasion of the Day of the Security Service of Ukraine on Saturday in Kyiv region.
