LLC “Zaporizhzhya Casting and Mechanical Plant” (ZLMZ), created on the basis of the production workshops of the department of the chief mechanic of PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, which is part of the Metinvest group, in record time, together with the Kryvyi Rih Mechanical Repair Plant, mastered the production of equipment for mining and processing plants (GOKov).
According to the company’s information, now ZLMZ will produce butars for mills for ore processing plants (ROF). Already in June, it is planned to produce seven such products for the company’s mining enterprises.
Andrey Khrapach, ZLMZ’s chief machining specialist, explained that earlier this equipment was purchased from third-party organizations.
“Butara is a conical drum that is used at mining and processing plants for grinding and sorting material. One product that we are currently working on will go to the Ingulets mining and processing plant. Previously, other enterprises supplied butars. But we are striving to develop new products. The product was developed together with colleagues from the Krivoy Rog Mechanical Plant in a very short time. Kryvyi Rih specialists developed a drawing, and we made a metal product. Two such drums are already in operation by miners, we received positive feedback,” Khramach said, quoted by the press service.
According to him, it took ZLMZ specialists less than three months from the idea to the final result. Two such butars of Zaporozhye production have already been installed at the ROF InGOK. ZLMZ produced two more similar butars for this enterprise. The plans are to increase the volume of production of these products. Currently, ZLMZ has already received an order and plans to manufacture seven more such products within a month.
EQUIPMENT, MASTERS PRODUCTION, MECHANICAL PLANT, MINING AND PROCESSING
The Danish company Aarsleff Pipe Technologies, engaged in trenchless rehabilitation and repair of pipelines, has handed over equipment to Ukraine for the repair of water supply and drainage systems in war-affected areas, the press service of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has reported.
According to the report, equipment worth UAH 1.2 million was delivered to Zhytomyr, Malyn, Berdychiv, Korosten (all in Zhytomyr region), Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Sumy.
Earlier, Aarsleff and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development agreed to supply equipment valued at EUR 400,000.
Aarsleff Pipe Technologies is engaged in trenchless pipeline renewal. The company is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen A/S and the group has annual revenue of EUR 1.6 billion.
International partners will help Ukrainian operators to purchase the necessary equipment to upgrade communications in Ukraine.
As reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in its Telegram channel, due to large-scale hostilities, the Russian invaders damaged the network of Ukrainian telecom operators, which left people in many settlements without access to the Internet.
“International partners will help operators purchase the necessary equipment to update communications in Ukraine. The first equipment will begin arriving in Ukraine in the middle of April. This is a completely volunteer initiative of volunteers who are making every effort to keep Ukrainians access to important information,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation said.
The project is implemented by the Global NOG Alliance initiative with the participation and support of the Ministry of Digital Development, industry associations of the Association of Copyright Holders and Content Providers, the Internet Association of Ukraine and DEPS.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation said that Ukrainian operators continue to provide services every day in regions where it is possible, and resume Internet access for Ukrainians.
“In order to help provide Internet to all settlements faster, we are launching the Keep Ukraine Connected project,” the ministry said.
EQUIPMENT, HELP, INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS, UPGRADE COMMUNICATIONS
Companies belonging to the Polish Electricity Transmission and Distribution Association have provided Ukraine with auxiliary materials and equipment to carry out work to restore the energy infrastructure damaged as a result of Russian aggression, according to the website of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on Tuesday.
“Due to the destruction caused by the hostilities, we see the need to support the energy system with materials and equipment, which will allow the resumption of electricity supplies in the most strategic directions,” president of the Polish Electricity Transmission and Distribution Association Robert Zasina said in a letter to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, cited by the department.
As explained in the energy department, members of the association launched a campaign to help Ukraine last week. Among the equipment provided are the most necessary, in particular low and medium voltage cables with auxiliary materials, medium/low voltage transformers, power generators and other types of equipment.
“I would like to express my special personal gratitude to Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Anna Moskwa, for her unwavering support for Ukraine, both on the political front and for real actions to strengthen our energy security,” Herman Haluschenko said.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the Polish energy sector will send the next batch of aid to the Ukrainian energy sector in the near future.
Transportation of goods for Ukraine is coordinated and organized by the Polish Government Agency for Strategic Reserves.
Ukraine, with financial support from the U.S. government, will receive $2.8 million worth of refrigeration equipment for storing COVID-19 vaccines at primary health care facilities and when using by mobile teams.
According to a press release from UNICEF, which supplied the equipment, funds for the purchase of the equipment were provided by USAID.
Some 3,100 vaccination points, 1,034 of which operate on the basis of primary health care facilities, and 800 mobile teams, will receive equipment.
The equipment includes 5,643 thermal containers, 8,100 thermal bags, 197,730 ice packs and 27,486 temperature monitoring devices.
The first batch of equipment was delivered on September 30 and includes 2,700 thermal bags in which COVID-19 vaccines can be stored at temperatures from +2 to + 8 ° C.
In the future, this equipment can be used for the transportation and storage of vaccines provided for by the national immunization schedule.
Currently, USAID has allocated about $10 million to support vaccinations in Ukraine and donated almost $2.2 million of COVID-19 vaccines to Ukraine as part of the COVAX mechanism.
The Dobrobut medical network invested more than UAH 300 million in equipment in 2020, plans to increase the volume of investments in 2021, chief operating officer of the network Vadym Shekman has said.
“We want our doctors to work on high-quality equipment. In 2020 we invested more than UAH 300 million in equipment, in 2021, I think, there will be even more,” he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
He noted that the shareholders of the company decided not to distribute dividends.
“The company does not withdraw money, we invest all the money that Dobrobut earns and additional investments in development. Most likely, we will not slow down this pace in the next 3-4 years,” he said.
