President of Ukraine expresses condolences to families of those killed in terrorist attack in Jerusalem

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the terrorist attack in Jerusalem.
“We share Israel’s pain after the terrorist attacks in Jerusalem. Among the victims is a Ukrainian woman. Sincere condolences to the victims’ families. The crimes were cynically committed on the Intl Holocaust Remembrance Day. Terror must have no place in today’s world. Neither in Israel nor in Ukraine,” Zelensky said on Twitter.
At least seven people were reportedly killed in a shooting in East Jerusalem in Nene Yaakov neighborhood, and ten others were injured. The attack occurred when people were leaving the synagogue. Security forces shot and killed the assailant while trying to escape. As part of the investigation of this case, 42 people were detained on Saturday: they are being interrogated.
Initially, no one claimed responsibility for the attack, but representative of the Islamist movement Hamas Hazem Qassem said: “This operation is a response to the crime committed by the occupiers in Jenin, and a natural response to the criminal acts of the occupation.”
