On the night from December, 31, 2021, from 20:00 on January, 1, 2022, in Ancient Kyiv in the Principality of Kyivan Rus («Kyivan Rus Park»), a grandiose festive entertainment program with horse performances, colorful characters, traditional medieval amusements, dances, live vocals and a fiery show will take place. Also, the guests will see the twin show and an interactive musical with fire special effects, which will be interesting both for adults and children. And also: tasty hot dishes prepared on fire, drinks and tinctures, free horse riding, gifts and treats for every guest and fireworks.
The New Year’s masquerade will be the highlight of the fabulous extravaganza. Here you will meet historical characters, the heroes of fairy tales and epics, and even movies. The action will take place in a unique place – at the medieval amphitheatre.
The ancient city will shine with bright festive lights, and torches and bonfires throughout the territory will warm and add a special flavor to the atmosphere.
From 20:00 the guests will be awaited by festive music, food points with hot dishes prepared on open fire, and the possibility to ride a horse for free. The gray-bearded magician will meet everyone at the residence of the New Year 2022 and offer to write a letter with wishes. At the tilting yard, the program will begin with the «freedom of horses» action, and after – the festive greeting from the inhabitants of Ancient Kyiv. The guests will be told a New Year’s fairy tale about horses with a presentation of breeds, and the real immersion in the medieval surroundings will be created by the torch horse riding tours.
From 22:00 the rich part of the program will begin with a bell chime, the Winter’s entry and its ascent to the throne, the arrival of three winter months and the ritual of handing over the scrolls. The guests will enjoy the New Year’s songs in «live performance», as well as the colorful photo session with fairytale and historical characters, holiday horses and the incredible entourage of the real medieval city of Kyiv with its monumental architecture.
The uniqueness of the celebration in Ancient Kiev lies in the fact that here guests not only watch the program, but they themselves are part of a bright action. Throughout the celebration, it will be possible to forget about the «constraint of modernity» and detached observation – and relax from the very heart, joining dance battles, tug-of-war, fun games, fascinating rites and master classes on medieval dances. The movement, dances and fun amusements will definitely not let anyone get bored or cold!
At midnight, the Prince of Kyiv will congratulate the guests with the most sincere and warmest congratulations on the New Year 2022 and will arrange bright fireworks over Ancient Kyiv. The program will continue with fiery songs and well-known music of the well-known performers.
Unrestrained fun throughout the festive program is guaranteed by funny contests, unusual medieval games, fiery dance flash mobs, songs and round dances around the Christmas tree.
It will be possible to warm up in the Main New Year`s Residence, near the bonfires, with hot dishes and mulled wine, fiery dances, in the warm Princely tavern by previous booking.
