74% of Foxtrot stores are autonomous

Already 83 stores, or 74%, of Foxtrot chain are autonomous, they can continue full work in autonomous mode even in case of emergency power cuts, the company’s press service said.
“There is a desire and willingness among customers to buy appliances, which encourages us to continue our movement toward energy independence,” Acting Chief Operating Officer Danila Veklenko was quoted as saying in the release.
These stores are equipped with powerful charging stations, generators (own or in the mall), lanterns, lamps, satellite Internet systems, which allows us to provide quality service and all the stated services. Also – in a number of stores visitors can charge their gadgets and work with access to wi-fi.
In the future plans of the retailer – to expand the list of stores that can fully operate regardless of the power outage schedule. Particular attention will be paid to the installation of satellite internet systems or the introduction of effective solutions in conjunction with regional providers to improve the operation of services that are directly dependent on the availability of internet: digital payment types, online ordering, etc.
As reported, Foxtrot started the process of providing its retail chain with autonomous power supplies after the first massive rocket attacks in October 2022.
“Foxtrot” is one of the largest retail chains in terms of the number of stores and sales of electronics and home appliances in Ukraine. As of early 2022, the brand is omni-channel (offline and online sales). As of January there are 114 stores in the network, 2 of which are in the format of Internet-order points.
The Foxtrot brand is developed by the Foxtrot group of companies. The co-founders are Valery Makovetsky and Gennady Vykhodtsev.

German retailer Adidas resumes work in cities of western Ukraine, stores in Kyiv are not yet open

The German sportswear and footwear retailer Adidas has reopened four stores in Ukraine, excluding retail outlets in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Retailers Association (RAU) has reported.
According to her, the Adidas & Reebok discount center in the Spartak shopping center and a separate chain store in Lviv, retail outlets in Uzhgorod and the Global shopping center in Zhytomyr have reopened. The online store has also reopened.
At the same time, the retailer did not provide information about the reopening of stores in Kyiv, the association notes. The official website of Adidas in Ukraine states that 18 stores in the capital are “temporarily closed”.
In Ukraine, the chain is managed by SE “Adidas-Ukraine”, owned by Adidas AG. According to the financial results of the DP for 2020, its revenue amounted to UAH 1.4 billion, net profit – UAH 58.5 million.

JYSK PLANS TO OPEN NEW STORES IN UKRAINE

JYSK, a chain of furniture and home goods stores, plans to open a new store in Lviv on June 16, in Chervonohrad and Rivne in July, the company’s press service has reported.
“Under any circumstances, we aim to restore the operation of all stores that worked before the outbreak of hostilities. I will say more, at the beginning of the war, a process to open seven new JYSK stores in different parts of Ukraine was launched. Despite the uncertainty of martial law, the company is already considering the possibilities on the implementation of plans to open some of them,” Yevhen Ivanitsa, Country Manager of JYSK in Ukraine, is quoted as saying.
New stores will be opened in the Fabrik shopping center in Lviv, the Maidan shopping center in Chervonohrad, and the HAPPY Mall shopping center in Rivne.
In addition, in June the company reopens a store in the Retroville shopping center in Kyiv, and in July it is planned to reopen a store in the Vostorg shopping center in Kharkiv.
Stores have been restored wherever it is safe for customers and employees, JYSK said. At the same time, significantly damaged chain stores and those located in the temporarily occupied territories do not operate.
The damage and losses of the network have not yet been calculated, but it is supposedly about tens of millions of hryvnias, the company said.
“There are completely destroyed stores in Hostomel and Kherson, there are significantly damaged stores in Odesa – in the Riviera shopping center, Kyiv – Retroville shopping center, Kharkiv – Vostorg shopping center, there are looted stores in Bucha and Melitopol, there are shops in the occupied zone – Nova Kakhovka, Melitopol, Kherson,” Ivanitsa said.

VITALI KLITSCHKO: MORE THAN 1,000 GROCERY STORES, 35 MARKETS, 450 CAFES OPERATE IN KYIV

Business is restoring work in Kyiv, more than 1,000 grocery stores, 35 markets, 450 cafes are already operating, said the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko.
“Businesses, shops, markets operate in Kyiv. Today, there are almost 1,000 grocery stores in the city, more than 160 Kievkhleb points of sale, 35 markets, about 450 cafes. Beauty salons, service stations, clothing stores are resuming work. We are also holding ten mini-fairs to ensure access to food,” he said on the Rada TV channel on Wednesday.
The mayor recalled that the fee under contracts with restaurant sites and mobile trade was reduced to UAH 1, and share participation – by 50%.
