TWO MILLION UKRAINIANS ALREADY BENEFITED FROM VISA-FREE REGIME – POROSHENKO

As many as two million Ukrainians have been able to benefit from a visa-free regime with the European Union, President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine has said.
“Two million Ukrainians have already used a visa-free regime with the EU! The visa-free regime does work!” Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page on January 3 morning.
The Ukrainian head of state said Ukraine enjoys a visa-free regime with more than 100 countries.
“At present, we have a visa-free regime with more than 100 countries. And we continue to open the world for Ukraine and Ukraine for the world,” Poroshenko said.

VERKHOVNA RADA’S CHAIRMAN TO VISIT SOUTH KOREA TO DISCUSS VISA-FREE REGIME

The Verkhovna Rada’s chairman Andriy Parubiy will be on a visit to South Korea from December 10 to discuss, in particular, a visa-free regime between the two countries.
“We are on the brink of crucial decisions,” Parubiy said in an interview with Rada TV channel, adding that there are plans “to reach the finish in discussing the decision to discontinue the visa regime between Ukraine and South Korea.”
“Today South Korea is one of the most dynamically developing economies in the world. It is one of the top twenty most effective world economies. It is important that Ukraine could have a visa-free regime with South Korea as well,” the politician said.
The Ukrainian parliament’s speaker said the parties are planning to sign an agreement between the Verkhovna Rada and the parliament of South Korea that will help promote closer cooperation between the parliaments of both countries. Also, he voiced the hope for receiving support and assistance in upgrading the Rada system, which is used by the Ukrainian parliament for voting purposes.
Parubiy said his trip will be very important for the inter-parliamentary diplomacy and for cooperation with that region.

THAILAND INTRODUCES VISA-FREE REGIME FOR UKRAINIAN CITIZENS

The Government of Thailand has introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine visiting that country for tourism for a period of up to 30 days, President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine has said. “I herewith hail the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukraine by the Government of Thailand! From now on, Ukrainian citizens will be able to travel to that country without spending their time on visa formalities for tourism purposes for a period of up to 30 days,” Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on November 22. As reported earlier, the Government of Thailand discontinued a $60 consular fee applied on arrival to Ukrainian nationals on November 15.
