TRANSPORT COMPANIES OF UKRAINE SLIGHTLY REDUCE CARRIAGE OF GOODS IN JAN-JULY

The transport enterprises of Ukraine in January-July 2018 reduced transportation of goods by 1% compared to January-July 2017, to 356.3 million tonnes. According to the State Statistics Service, freight turnover for this period decreased by 1.7%, to 191.3 billion tonne-kilometers.
According to statistical data, in January-July 2018 railways transported 185.4 million tonnes of cargo inside the country and for export, which is 4.4% less than in January-July 2017.
Transportation of coal decreased by 9.7%, oil and petroleum products by 12.4%, grain and cereals by 15.4%, cement by 5%, construction materials by 7.2%, and timber by 6.2%. At the same time, the handling of coke grew by 0.4%, ferrous metals by 2.6%, chemical and mineral fertilizers by 6%, iron and manganese ore by 4%, and scrap metal by 5.7%.
Product pumping through pipelines in January-July 2018 in comparison with January-July 2017 declined by 2.1%, to 64.4 million tonnes.
