Kyivstar, a mobile operator, has released a universal Smart SIM starter kit without a tariff plan, which can be used, inter alia, for self-changing a SIM card, the operator’s press service has said.
Smart SIM can be used to connect the SIM for Devices tariff plan, to activate the SIM for Tablet service, as well as to independently replace the SIM card.
The SIM for Devices tariff plan allows using the services of the mobile operator in smart devices: alarms, GPS trackers, sensors, smart watches and the like. Every day, subscribers will receive 30 MB of mobile Internet, 30 minutes for calls and 30 SMS messages for their use in IoT devices.
The SIM for Tablet service allows using another SIM card for the Internet in the tablet, the second smartphone or modem, having one number and account for the primary and secondary cards.
In addition, in order to simplify the process of SIM card recovery, Kyivstar canceled payment for the Self-Swop of SIM service.
Earlier, Kyivstar launched the Calls for Parents tariff plan for older subscribers.
Kyivstar is a Ukrainian telecommunications operator. It provides communications and data transfer services based on a wide range of mobile and fixed technologies, including 3G. The shareholder of Kyivstar is VEON international group (formerly VimpelCom Ltd.). The shares of the group are listed on NASDAQ (New York).

SkyUp Airlines has announced the launch of some flights to Italy from Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv. The airline said on its Facebook page on Tuesday, in particular, the Kyiv-Rome-Kyiv flight will be operated from March 29 to October 24, 2020 three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The cost of one ticket without baggage from Kyiv to Rome starts from UAH 1,500, and back from UAH 2,200.
In addition, from March 29 to October 24, a flight will be operated on the route Kyiv-Milan (Bergamo). It will be performed three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The cost of a ticket from Kyiv to Milan starts from UAH 1,500, and back from UAH 1,600.
The flight Kyiv-Bologna-Kyiv will also be operated from March 29 to October 24, 2020. In particular, it will be serviced on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The cost of a ticket from Kyiv to Bologna starts from UAH 1,500, and back from UAH 1,800.
Flight Kyiv-Lamezia Terme-Kyiv will be operated from May 30 to September 30, 2020 twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The cost of a ticket from Kyiv to Lamezia Terme starts from UAH 2,100, and back from UAH 2,300.
The Lviv-Rome-Lviv flight will be operated from March 29 to October 24, 2020 three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The ticket price from Lviv to Rome starts from UAH 1,400, and back from UAH 1,900.
The Lviv-Naples-Lviv flight will also be operated from March 29 to October 24, 2020, but twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays. The ticket price from Lviv to Naples starts from UAH 1,100, and back from UAH 1,400.
In the same period, it is planned to launch the flight Lviv-Milan (Bergamo)-Lviv. It will be performed on Mondays and Fridays. The ticket price from Lviv to Milan starts from UAH 1,400, and back from UAH 1,500.
Flight Odesa-Lamezia Terme-Odesa will be operated from June 3 to September 30, 2020 only on Wednesdays. The ticket price from Odesa to Lamezia Terme starts from UAH 2,100, and back from UAH 2,200.
Flight Kharkiv-Lamezia Terme-Kharkiv will be operated from June 1 to September 28, 2020 on Mondays. The cost of a ticket from Kharkiv to Lamezia Terme starts from UAH 2,400, and back from UAH 2,600.
Ukrposhta intends in 2020 to increase its net income by 13.2% compared with the planned figures for 2019, to UAH 9.682 billion.
According to the text of the enterprise’s financial plan for 2020, posted on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, it is planned to increase profit by 12%, to UAH 1.7 billion respectively.
According to an explanatory note to the document, revenues from written correspondence are planned in the amount of UAH 2.429 billion (an increase of 8.1%), revenues from the parcel segment in the amount of UAH 1.201 billion (an increase of 21.5%), revenues from the distribution of periodicals some UAH 525.900 million (4.5%), income from pension payments some UAH 2.155 billion (an increase of 10.4%), from trade in the amount of UAH 590 million (an increase of 25.5%) compared to the financial plan for 2019.
Ukrposhta plans to attract credit resources from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank in the amount of UAH 1.722 billion in 2020 for the implementation of the Rural Branch and Logistics Network projects, but interest is not planned for them in 2020 under the terms of the loan agreement.
Expenses for wages to employees are planned in the amount of UAH 5.511 billion (a growth of 17.7%). The average monthly wage is UAH 6,887 (an increase of 18.9%).
It is planned to transfer funds in the amount of UAH 2.954 billion to budgets and state trust funds, which is UAH 374.7 million more than expected for 2019.
Almost 34,000 new motorcycles and mopeds were sold in Ukraine in 2019, which is 1.5 times more than in 2018, AUTO-Consulting reports.
“The Ukrainian motorcycle market experienced a real “boom” in sales in 2019 and will surely go down in history as one of the most successful,” experts say.
For the second year in a row, the Musstang brand has been the market leader, which in 2019 increased sales by 62%, to 7,032 units, and occupied 20.6% of the motorcycle market compared to 19% in 2018.
Spark motorcycles, which were preferred by 14% of buyers in 2019, ranked second.
“A real struggle unfolded for the third position in 2019. As a result, Lifan became the bronze medalist, whose sales grew by 76% over the year,” the group said in a statement.
At the same time, according to AUTO-Consulting statistics, Lifan in 2018 ranked fifth in the rating with a share of 8.66%, and in 2019 its share rose to 10.21%.
Analysts also note a rapid increase in sales among such as brands Forte (the 4th place versus 8th a year earlier), Bajaj (the 7th place), and Loncin (the 8th versus the 10th).
The sales of famous brands also intensified in 2019: Honda became the leader among Japanese manufacturers. BMW Motorrad and Yamaha dealers also noticeably raised sales.
