Near the town of Radomsko, Łódź Voivodeship, in Poland, as a result of a road traffic accident, seven citizens of Ukraine were injured.
“On July 24, 21, near Radomsko, Łódź Voivodeship, an accident occurred with the participation of a Volkswagen Transporter minibus and a Nissan car. As a result of the accident, seven citizens of Ukraine were injured, who were taken to medical facilities in Łódź, Radomsko, Piotrków Trybunalski and Częstochowa,” the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland said on Twitter.
The embassy said that as of 16:00 there are six citizens of Ukraine in medical facilities, one citizen was discharged from the hospital.
“The necessary consular assistance is being provided. The case is under the control of the embassy, the State Civil Administration in Kraków and the Department of the Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine,” the embassy said.
The G7 countries welcome Ukraine’s statements of commitments to abandon coal and move towards zero CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
“G7 Ambassadors were pleased to discuss Ukraine’s plans to combat climate change with Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Roman Abramovsky and Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna. Ambassadors encouraged Ukraine to submit an ambitious 2nd Nationally Defined Contribution for COP26 by the end of July,” G7 Ambassadors said on the Twitter page.
In particular, the ambassadors welcomed Ukraine’s statements of commitments to transition away from coal and move towards net-zero. A cross-government approach is essential to deliver reforms, create the conditions for investment, and incentivise clean energy in order to meet Ukraine’s goals.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree that puts into effect the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine decision on the imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) dated July 16, 2021 in relation to six individuals.
Relevant presidential decree No. 304/2021 dated July 23 was released on the presidential website.
Thus, sanctions for a period of three years are imposed against the following persons: Tatiana Bakalchuk and Vladislav Bakalchuk (co-founders of Wildberries LLC).
Investments in the project for the creation and development of the International European University have exceeded $3 million, founder and vice-rector for scientific, pedagogical work and international relations of the university Alla Navolokina told the Interfax-Ukraine agency after a press conference at the agency on Thursday.
“Today, 850 foreign students from more than 40 countries of the world study at our university. We have already invested over $ 3 million. As part of the implementation of European education standards, students can choose freely more than 25% of subjects, not only in their professional field. Each student can choose from among seven faculties the directions that appeal to him. Even a medical student can study IT, design, or music. Even if only one student from the batch chooses a subject, we fully ensure its study. This is the uniqueness of our university,” Navolokina said.
Navolokina stressed that the university is creating a unique system of teaching a person throughout his life – from 3 to 93 years. We have created a university of a new formation, the main principles of which are equality and student-centrism.
“The International European University seeks to bring Ukrainian education to a new quality level,” Anatoliy Tolstoukhov, Doctor of Philosophy, Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Chairman of the Development Assistance Council of the International European University, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.
“Today, the process of consolidation of universities has begun in the world: along with schools, there will be much less of them. The specificity of our university is that at least two-thirds of students must be representatives of other countries. This means that we take responsibility for the presentation of Ukraine to the whole world, on the other hand, such a scheme allows us to enrich ourselves with the experience of world education in Ukraine,” Tolstoukhov said.
The most important thing, according to Navolokina, is that students and instructors should feel at the university like at home. For this, we have created an innovative system for a student to choose his own individual educational trajectory. The vice-rector also noted that all instructors, students and junior staff at the university communicate fluently in English, which makes it possible to create a comfortable language environment in the learning process.
The International European University was founded in Kyiv in 2019. The university has its own educational building at 16a Mahnitohorska Street in Kyiv. Ukraine and Austria are its co-founders.
The university specializes in teaching foreign students and Ukrainians, studying in scientific and educational institutions in seven areas: business schools, architectural and engineering, language, medical, IT, law and art schools.
The Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, as submitted by the national federations, has approved the names of the Ukrainian Olympic team to participate in the Tokyo Olympics.
“Despite the impact of the global pandemic and significant changes in the sports calendar, in particular the postponement of the games from 2020 to 2021, Ukrainian athletes overcame a tough qualifying selection, fighting for the right to represent the country in the competitions of the strongest athletes on the planet,” according to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
According to the message, Ukraine will be represented at the Olympics by 158 Olympians in 25 sports (30 disciplines).
Athletes will perform in badminton, boxing, freestyle (and women’s) Greco-Roman wrestling, weightlifting, cycling (highway, track, mountain bike), rowing and canoeing (rowing slalom), sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, karate, equestrian sports, athletics, swimming, artistic swimming, archery, bullet shooting, diving, jumping on a trampoline, modern pentathlon, tennis, ping-pong, triathlon and fencing.
Adonis medical group has launched its own ambulance service.
Adonis told Interfax-Ukraine that its ambulance service has four cars now, including one reanimobile of class C and three cars of class B.
The Adonis ambulance service will also respond to calls to arrive to children aged 0 to 18 years with acute conditions, as well as for transportation to the nearest clinic or a round-the-clock children’s hospital of the clinic.
The medical network clarified that the company does not exclude further expansion of the ambulance service.
The medical network did not specify the volume of investments in the organization of the ambulance service. Earlier it was reported that the Adonis medical group plans to open four branches in 2021.
Adonis is a network of private full-cycle medical centers for adults and children. The private clinic Adonis was founded over 20 years ago. The network includes ten branches in Kyiv and the region, including two of its own maternity hospitals and a stem cell laboratory. In the branches of the clinic, doctors conduct appointments in 60 medical directions.
