COSMETICS STORES CHAIN EVA INCREASES ONLINE SALES BY 7.8 TIMES IN MARCH

RUSH LLC (Dnipro), which manages of about 1,000 Eva perfume and cosmetics stores chain in Ukraine, increased online sales 7.8 times during quarantine in March 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, the company’s press service said on Tuesday, April 7. “We were prepared for the demands of the times, as before the crisis, we actively developed online sales through the Eva.ua online store. The numbers indicated that we are moving in the right direction. This is also confirmed by our current statistics. In March 2020, compared to March 2019, traffic grew by 305%, and sales grew by 680%,” the company said in the statement, citing Director of the electronic commerce department Olena Annenko.
Sales in March compared to February increased by 40%, traffic grew by 25%.
Thus, at the end of March, compared to February, sales of household goods increased 4.4 times, goods for child care almost four times, goods for personal care three times, household chemicals increased by 30.8%.
In addition to the current targeted delivery, the company intends to resume the delivery to pick-up and drop-off points in offline stores of the chain, which has been suspended since the beginning of quarantine.
RUSH LLC was founded in 2002. It has 40 own brands, which are represented by household goods, perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, personal hygiene products, accessories, underwear and children’s goods.
The charter capital of LLC RUSH is UAH 10 million.

UKRTRANSNAFTA INCREASES CRUDE OIL TRANSIT TO EUROPE, BELARUS BY 1.3%

Crude oil transit by pipelines across Ukraine to European countries and Belarus grew by 1.3% in January-March 2020 or by 44,600 tonnes year-over-year, to 3.448 million tonnes, according to information from JSC Ukrtransnafta.
The volume of crude oil transportation to oil refineries in January-March 2020 amounted to 592,100 tonnes, which is 17.2% (86,900 tonnes) more than in the same period last year, including oil transportation by the Odesa-Kremenchuk line amounted to 229,900 tonnes.
Thus, in the first three months of this year, the share of transit volume in the total transportation of crude oil (4.04 tonnes) amounted to 85.3%, the share of supplies to the country’s refineries – 14.7%.
In March 2020, crude oil transit through Ukraine by pipeline grew by 16.2% (by 194,500 tonnes) compared to the same month of 2019, to 1.396 million tonnes, while pumping to the country’s refineries increased 5.7% (10,500 tonnes), to 196,300 tonnes.

LVIV INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAUNCHES FREIGHT TRANSPORT PROGRAM

The Lviv International Airport has launched the international freight transport program, the airport has said on its official Facebook page.
The first Lviv–Riga–Lviv flight was serviced on April 3, 2020.
“The cargo of the Ukrposhta company is transported by An-26 aircraft with the registration code UR-CSK of the Ukrainian transport airline Eleron,” the airport said in a statement.
The airport also said that freight transportation is a separate area of the enterprise.
“Last year, cargo was transported on the Kyiv-Lviv-Kyiv, Lviv-Dniptro-Lviv lines. It is time to expand horizons. Soon we are waiting for even more new international destinations,” the Lviv international airport said in the statement.

UKRAINE EXPORTS 17.9 MLN TONNES OF WHEAT WITHIN MEMO SINCE START OF MY

The dynamics of wheat exports is within the “safe” corridor agreed in the memorandum, in particular, as of April 6 wheat exports amounted to 17.9 million tonnes, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine has reported.
According to the annex to the memorandum between the Economy Ministry and the market participants signed on March 30, the maximum volume of wheat exports in the current marketing season (MY, July-June) was set at 20.2 million tonnes.
“Thus, during April-June 2020 some 2.3 million tonnes remain available for export,” the ministry said on its website.
The ministry noted that the pace of wheat supplies in April slowed down. The average daily shipment of wheat supplies in April was 14,000 tonnes, while in March it was 44,000 tonnes.
According to the ministry, in the 2018/2019 MY some 28.3 million tonnes were produced, domestic consumption was 8.2 million tonnes, ending stock stood at 1.7 million tonnes.
