KYIV STARTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR BUILDING WASTE RECYCLING PLANT, DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 28

Municipal enterprise Kyivkomunservice has started accepting applications for a tender to select the provider of waste recycling and disposal services in Kyiv, the press service of the Kyiv City Administration has reported. According to the report, the applications can be submitted before September 28.
According to the tender documentation on the website of the company, the minimum capacity of the recycling enterprise should be 426,000 tonnes, while the annual volume of household waste produced in Kyiv is 1.2 million tonnes.
The new waste processing plant should be located near the geographical center of Kyiv.
Participants in the tender should have experience in creating and operating waste recycling facilities. The winner of the tender will be obliged to provide waste treatment services for at least 25 years from the time the facility is put into operation.
The first stage of the tender is the assessment of contestants’ complying with the qualifying conditions, it will begin in late September. The second stage involves evaluating proposals from participants in the competition.
As reported, with reference to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the new waste recycling plant in Kyiv is to be built within the next two or three years.

DTEK RAISES EUR 90 MLN FROM GERMAN BANKS TO BUILD 100 MW WIND FARM

DTEK Renewables has raised EUR 90 million for construction of the first phase of Prymorska wind farm with a capacity of 100 MW in Zaporizhia region, the press service of DTEK Energy Holding reported. The press service said that the loan for the construction of the first stage of the wind farm was issued by a consortium of German banks (Bayerische Landesbank, KfW IPEX-Bank, Bremer Kreditbank and others) with risk coverage provided by German export credit agency (ECA) Euler Hermes. The loan term is 10 years after the technical commissioning of the plant.
DTEK reminded that this is the third financing agreement signed with European financial institutions for the construction of the company’s wind energy projects. For the implementation of the first wind farm project in the company’s portfolio, the Botiyevska Wind Farm, DTEK raised loans in the total amount of EUR 235 million from Germany’s LandesBank Berlin (Berliner Sparkasse) in 2012-2014.
DTEK CEO Maksym Tymchenko said that in recent years, the company raised EUR 335 million from German banks for the construction of new wind farms. This April, DTEK and Chinese company CMEC signed an agreement valued at EUR 134 million to build Nikopol solar power plant (200 MW) with the total cost of the project of EUR 235 million.
“Such sustainable interest from international investors in renewable generation in Ukraine gives us confidence in the implementation of our strategic plans – to have 1,000 MW of ‘green’ facilities in the portfolio by 2020,” he said.

UKRGAZVYDOBUVANNIA SIGNS UAH 4 BLN DRILLING CONTRACTS WITH CHINESE COMPANIES

PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia has signed contracts with Xinjiang Beiken Energy Engineering (XBEE) and Zhongman Petroleum and Natural Gas Group (ZPNGG) to drill 36 wells for UAH 4.032 billion. According to a report in the ProZorro e-procurement system, at the end of July the contract with ZPNGG for UAH 723.52 million was signed (lot 7), and the contract with XBEE for UAH 3.308 billion (lots 1-5) was signed at the end of August.
The company rejected the proposal of Energofinance LLC for lot 6 and plans to sign a contract with XBEE for UAH 776.991 million.
As reported, Ukrgazvydobuvannia announced a tender for drilling 42 more wells at the end of December 2017. The tender was held early February.
The strategy of the company until 2020 envisaged the increase in gas production from 14.5 billion cubic meters in 2015 and 2016 to 15.2 billion cubic meters in 2017, 16.5 billion cubic meters in 2018, 18.3 billion cubic meters in 2019, and 20.1 billion cubic meters in 2020.

ALLSEEDS GROUP PLANS TO INCREASE CAPACITY OF VEGETABLE OIL STORAGE FACILITIES

Allseeds group of companies is finalizing the construction of vegetable oil tanks at its terminal in Yuzhny seaport (Odesa region) in order to increase their storage capacity to 132,000 tonnes. At the loading rate of 1,300 tonnes of oil per hour, a 50,000 tonnes tanker will be full in just 40 hours, according to the group’s press release.
Allseeds in the nearest future is also planning to increase the total storage capacity of its vegetable oil terminal up to 200,000 tonnes.
According to the information on the group’s website, the storage capacity of its vegetable oil terminal is 42,000 tonnes.
Allseeds Group was founded in 2010.
