AUSTRALIAN GRAINCORP OPENS TRADE OFFICE IN UKRAINE, ESTIMATES OPTIONS FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT

GrainCorp, a large Australian grain trader, has opened the first official representative office in Ukraine (Kyiv), the company has said. “Ukraine and the Black Sea are important for our growth, so we are very pleased with the development in this region. We have a strong team in Ukraine, which will directly deal with the supply of Ukrainian grain to our customers around the world. At this stage we have only trade office, but we are estimating options for further development,” Director for Government and Media Relations at GrainCorp Angus Trigg told Interfax-Ukraine.
GrainCorp is engaged in production and sale of grain, edible oils and malt. It has the largest integrated network of storage and transportation of grain in Eastern Australia. The company operates on four continents, exports products to more than 30 countries. GrainCorp operates in Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe (including the UK). According to the company, it is included in the top five global producers of malt.

KYIV SIKORSKY AIRPORT SERVICES AROUND 1.5 MLN PASSENGERS IN JAN-JULY

Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport (Zhuliany) in January-July 2018 serviced around 1.5 million passengers, according to a posting on the official Facebook page of the airport. “On August 1, 2018, the airport serviced a 1.5 millionth passenger since the beginning of the year. The figure is indicative. It indicates the rapid and confident development of the airport. In August 2017, Hlib Deineha became the millionth passenger, he was then 3.5 years old,” the airport said. The press service said that the airport plans to service 2.8 million passengers by the end of 2018.
Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) is located in the business center of the capital, seven km from the city center. It is the second largest airport in Ukraine in terms of the number of flights and passenger traffic. The airport has three terminals with a total area is 21,000 square meters. Terminal B is separate facility for business-class service, it is part of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) system. The airport’s runway is able to handle B-737 and A-320 aircraft. In Q1 2018, the airport serviced 442,000 passengers, which is 50.4% more than in Q1 2017.

FRENCH AXA RAISES PREMIUM COLLECTION IN UKRAINE BY 14%

AXA Insurance (Kyiv) in January-June collected more than UAH 915.6 million in gross insurance premiums, which is 14% or UAH 115 million more than for the same period in 2017, according to the press release of the insurer.
The total volume of insurance claim fee payments for this period was UAH 455 million, which is 17% more than in 2017 (UAH 390 million).
According to the press release, in the six months of 2018 the volume of premiums on KASKO was UAH 522 million, showing an increase of 10%. At the same time, 66% of premiums or UAH 346 million are due to contracts concluded with individuals.
According to the programs of voluntary medical insurance (the company is included in the top three of the market leaders) for six months of this year, AXA collected UAH 138 million of premiums (a 32% increase), undertaking obligations on more than 346,000 contracts. In the first half of 2018, voluntary health insurance programs for individuals were successfully launched.
AXA Insurance belongs to AXA Group (France). It is represented in the Ukrainian insurance market since 2007. The company employs more than 780 people and 1,220 agents throughout Ukraine.
