Facebook.com in April 2018 became the only social network that entered the top ten Internet resources in Ukraine in terms of popularity, according to the Kantar TNS CMeter research conducted by Kantar TNS. According to a press release posted on Kantar TNS’ website, Facebook.com ranks third with an audience reach of 65.38%. The leaders are Google.com with a coverage of 98.18% and Youtube.com with 80.1%.
At the same time, Russian Internet services and social networks, banned in the spring of 2017 in Ukraine, have enough percentage to hit the top 25 popular websites: Vk.com (29.98%) ranks 11th, Yandex.ua (22.89%) ranks 13th, Mail.ru (20.74%) ranks 14th, and Odnoklassniki.ru (15.86%) ranks 23rd.
The CMeter study unties data from three sources: site-centric counters integrated into the websites. At the moment, about 250 websites are studied, of which about 30 with video fixation. Frame-centric counters are installed not on the website, but in the frame of the banner network. At the moment, these counters are used at more than 2,500 websites. The user-centric panel covers about 5,000 respondents daily, along with the standard indicators (hits, coverage, socio-demographic, etc. indicators for all the sites contacted by the respondent), it also records the panelists’ contact with the content.
Data from all the sources are combined in real time, which guarantees no data loss.
Ukraine in January-April 2018 increased imports of nickel ore and concentrate in natural terms by 6.6% compared to the same period in 2017, to 458,917 tonnes. According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, in monetary terms nickel ore imports increased by 7%, to $22.155 million.
Imports were made from Guatemala (60.81% of supplies in monetary terms), and Indonesia (39.19%).
During the first four months of the year, Ukraine did not export and re-export these products, as well as in January-April 2017.
As reported, Ukraine in 2017 reduced imports of nickel ore and concentrate in natural terms by 4.2% compared to 2016, to 1.314 million tonnes, in monetary terms by 8.3%, to $64.172 million. At the same time, all imports were made from Guatemala (100% of supplies).
Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmeier intends to make visits to Russia and Ukraine, the German news agency DPA has reported referring to the sources in the cabinet of the Federal Republic of Germany on Monday. According to it, the trips are scheduled for May 13 and May 14.
It is expected that the head of the German Economy Ministry will discuss energy and economic policy with his counterparts in Russia and Ukraine.
The key topic of the negotiations should be the future of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project and Ukraine as a transit state for Russian natural gas supplies to Europe.
Ukraine exported 2,670 tonnes of cheese in January-April 2018, which is 7.8% more than in the same period in 2017. According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, in monetary terms exports increased by 20%, to $10.18 million. Cheese imports in January-April 2018 amounted to 3,730 tonnes, which is 31.7% more than in the same period in 2017. In monetary terms this figure increased by 1.5 times, to $19.01 million.
Exports of butter from Ukraine in January-April of this year increased by 2.2 times, to 12,160 tonnes. In monetary terms the figure amounted to $52 million against $19.97 million in the same period in 2017. Butter imports rose by 2.4 times, to 393 tonnes ($2.53 million).
Exports of milk and cream (condensed) in January-April 2018 decreased by 1.4 times, to 9,830 tonnes. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream for a total of $16.69 million, which is 1.5 times less than in January-April 2017.
Ukraine in January-April 2018 increased import of coal and anthracite (foreign economic activity code 2701) by 53.9% (by 2.605 million tonnes) compared to the same period in 2017, to 7.437 million tonnes. According to the State Fiscal Service, coal was imported for $1.004 billion, which is 30.3% more than in January-April-2017 ($770.936 million).
At the same time, Russia supplied coal worth $643.58 million (a 64.08% share in imports), the United States for $288.411 million (28.72%), Canada for $48.365 million (4.82%), and other countries for $24.003 million (2.39%).
In addition, Ukraine in January-April 2018 exported 43,491 tonnes of coal and anthracite for $7.819 million, including $4.597 million to Russia, $3.201 million to Slovakia, $11,000 to Hungary, and $10,000 to other countries.
Ukraine in January-April 2018 exported 98,360 tonnes of poultry, which is 2.6% more than in the same period in 2017, the State Fiscal Service has reported. According to its data, in monetary terms exports of these products increased by 21%, to $150.09 million.
Imports of poultry for the four months of 2018 increased by 27.7%, to 40,000 tonnes, in monetary terms by 35.8%, to $16.73 million.
According to the service, exports of pork in January-April 2018 decreased by 66.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2017, to 810 tonnes. Exports amounted to $1.88 million against $4.7 million in the four months of 2017.
Pork imports to Ukraine during this period increased by 4.6 times, to 3,310 tonnes. The country imported pork for $5.91 million against $1.24 million in January-April 2017.
As reported, with reference to customs data of the fiscal service, Ukraine in 2017 increased the supply of pork to foreign markets by 1.6 times, to 4,920 tonnes, imports of this product doubled, to 5,600 tonnes.
