Another batch of 52 Starlink satellites has been put into orbit

The Falcon 9 rocket on Friday successfully injected into orbit another batch of 52 mini-satellites to replenish the orbital constellation of the Starlink global Internet coverage network, the developer SpaceX said.
“The launch of the 52 Starlink satellites has been confirmed,” the statement said.
The launch took place from the SLC-4E launch pad at U.S. Space Force Base Vandenberg in California at 12:26 p.m. U.S. Pacific Coast Time.
It was the 78th launch of Internet satellites since May 2019 as part of the Starlink project and the ninth since the beginning of this year. Including the current launch, SpaceX has already put more than 4,100 such satellites into orbit. Some of them have failed or fallen out of orbit. More than 3.8 thousand devices remain in orbit in working condition.
As part of the launch, the first reusable stage launch vehicle Falcon 9, which was used for the eighth time, about nine minutes after launch, made a controlled vertical landing on a floating drone platform Of Course I Still Love You, which was located in the Pacific Ocean, 670 km from the base.
The company is currently the largest satellite operator in the world. The Starlink Internet network is available to users in 50 countries, including North America, Europe, the Far East and Australia. According to the Pentagon, the services of these satellites are also actively used by the U.S. military.
In the future SpaceX plans to deploy an orbital constellation of 12 thousand spacecraft (and in the future – from 30 thousand) to create a full-scale network, which will provide residents of the earth broadband Internet access anywhere in the world. The total amount of investments in implementation of the project is estimated at $10 billion.

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to undergo personnel changes

The Servant of the People political party faction at a meeting on Saturday, March 18, discussed personnel changes in the government that are planned for next week, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
“The dismissal of the Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlet, the appointment of Oksen Lisovy as Minister of Education and Science, the dismissal of Pavel Ryabikin as Minister of Strategic Industries, the appointment of Alexander Kamyshyn as Minister of Strategic Industries,” Shmygal wrote in the telegram channel.
In addition, according to the prime minister, Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov will deal with a number of areas besides digitalization. His future position – Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

In June 2010 he became head of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. With the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he volunteered to the front as a member of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. At the same time, he remotely continued to serve as director of the IAS of Ukraine.
Alexander Kamyshyn – former chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia (April 1, 2022 – February 27, 2023), since August 11, 2021 was acting chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia. Before heading Ukrzaliznytsia, he was a manager at Dragon Capital and SCM. Also in 2021, Kamyshyn worked as an adviser to Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov. In February 2023, he resigned as chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia, stating his plans to head Ukrzaliznytsia’s European integration office in Europe. On March 3, 2023, he was appointed advisor to the President of Ukraine (out of staff).

“Nova Posta” plans to open second branch in Lithuania

“Nova Posta enters the Lithuanian market and opens its first branch in Vilnius and plans to open a second branch in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city, co-founder of Nova Posta said in a few months. Vyacheslav Klimov, co-founder of Novaya Posta.

According to him, this year it is also planned to open offices in the Czech Republic, Romania and Germany and to expand the network in Poland to all the provinces.
At the same time, the company is not considering opening post offices in Poland and Lithuania. “Both Poland and Lithuania are quite densely covered by post offices of different companies, so it is more reliable now feel the strategy to come with our offices and our address delivery,” Klimov explained.
Co-owner of “New Mail” confirmed plans to open branches in Germany this year and noted that the company is attracted by the capacity of the markets, because the number of parcels per capita in Poland is 2-3 times, and in Germany – 3-4 times more than in Ukraine.
Sources of funding the expansion to foreign markets are the company’s own funds, Klimov said. In Ukraine, the company plans to continue to open new offices, install postal terminals, and also in the fall will complete the construction of two new sorting centers Kiev-East and Odessa.
Founded in 2001 Nova Posta Group is the biggest participant of Ukrainian logistics market: its network consists of about 10 ths offices and 13 ths postal terminals throughout Ukraine. The number of shipments in 2021 exceeded 372 million. Besides, a non-banking financial institution NovaPay provides services for money transfers and e-money transactions. There were 388 million transactions in 2021.
Detailed results of GC in 2022 have not yet been announced, but Klimov stated that the number of shipments at the end of the year will be restored to 95% of the pre-war level.
The group also includes Nova Posta Global, which is developing an international partner network to provide customers with express delivery services not only in Ukraine but also abroad. The company performs regular flights to the U.S., Europe and China and delivered 9.3 million international shipments in 2021.

Ukrainian military opened deposits in banks for almost 15 bln UAH

Ukrainian military in six months opened in the state-owned PrivatBank (Kiev) special deposits “Glory to heroes” for 2 billion UAH, and in Oschadbank deposits “My defender” – for 12.9 billion UAH, according to press services of the banks.
According to the head of Oshchadbank Sergei Naumov, since the beginning of the year the amount of deposits on special deposits increased by 30%.
Oschadbank offers increased interest rates on this deposit in the amount of 13% per annum (for deposits for a period of three months) and 14% per annum (for a period of six months).
Monthly payment of interest, replenishment, rollover and changing the date of deposit return before the end of the contract without loss of accrued interest is provided on the deposit. The minimum deposit amount is 5000 UAH.
Except for servicemen, volunteers of Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defense members of their families (spouse, husband, parents or children) can open a deposit in the branches of Oschadbank on presentation of supporting documents.
The deposit “Glory to Heroes” from PrivatBank gives the opportunity to get 14% per annum for servicemen, who receive target payments from the state through PrivatBank.

Ferrexpo continues to claim Haleshchyna deposit of ferruginous quartzites

The mining company Ferrexpo with assets in Ukraine points to the illegality of the revocation of one of the licenses – for the exploration of the Haleshchyna (Kremenchug) deposit of ferruginous quartzites – after the sanctions were imposed on the Belanovsky mining and processing plant (BGOK, Gorishny Plavni, Poltava region), a part of the group.
According to Ferrexpo’s annual report, on June 24, 2021, the official website of the president published a decree enacting the decision of the Rada of National Security and Defense of Ukraine on the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures and sanctions.
BGOK is included in the list of legal entities subject to sanctions.
“The decree and the decision do not contain legal grounds for the application of sanctions,” the group believes.
At the same time, it is specified that the sanctions revoke the license to develop the Galeshchino deposit, one of the two licenses owned by BGOK.
The company continues to defend its interests in courts. The next court hearing is scheduled for April 3, 2023.
The Galeshchinskoye deposit is at the exploration stage and is located to the north of the group’s active mining operations.
As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on June 24, 2021, which enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council to permanently cancel the licenses of nine mining companies, including BGOK, which is part of Konstantin Zhevago’s Ferrexpo group. The decree cancels the special permit for the use of subsoil resources at the Galeshchynskoe (Kremenchug) iron ore deposit from 2004 to 2036.
Ferrexpo is an iron ore company with assets in Ukraine.
Ferrеxpo owns a 100% stake in Yeristovskiy GOK LLC and a 99.9% stake in Belanovskiy GOK LLC. Before the September 2022 court ruling, Ferrexpo also owned 100% of Poltava GOK PJSC.
