NEXT ROUND OF NEGOTIATIONS TO BE HELD ON MONDAY

The third round of talks between Ukraine and Russia will take place on Monday, March 7, leader of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada David Arakhamia said on Facebook.
“The third round of negotiations will take place on Monday,” he said on Facebook.

576 CHILDREN AND 62 ACCOMPANYING PEOPLE FROM ODESA REGION EVACUATED TO POLAND

The Ministry of Social Policy says that 638 children from vulnerable groups and accompanying persons from Odesa region were evacuated to Poland.
“Minister of Social Policy Maryna Lazebna said that the evacuation to Poland of the largest group to date, which includes 576 children from vulnerable groups and 62 accompanying people, has been successfully completed,” the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy said.
It is noted that the group includes: orphans, children deprived of parental care, children from institutional educational and social institutions, as well as from foster families and family-type orphanages.
“This time we worried the most, because such a large number of children, high risks of information leakage and, accordingly, the possible danger of disrupting the evacuation. But children from Odesa region were gathered in small groups, only then they were united and safely transported by a train specially formed for these needs. To avoid publicity and crowds, the border crossing took place at night. Today, all children are placed on the territory of Poland in pre-agreed places, provided with everything necessary,” the message says.

U.S. GOOGLE CANCELS FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL CALLS FROM/TO UKRAINE VIA GOOGLE FI

U.S. Google, part of Alphabet Inc., canceled fees for international calls from/to Ukraine via Google Fi.

“To help people communicate with friends and family at this urgent time, we’re waiving international calling fees from Ukraine and from the U.S. to Ukraine on Google Fi, and we’re waiving calling fees to Ukraine for people using Google Voice for the time being,” the company said in a statement.

In addition, to help organizations involved in providing humanitarian assistance such as medical care, food aid, and support and assistance to refugees, Google announced the provision of free services through Google Cloud Credits for eligible organizations.

As reported earlier, Google allocated a total of $25 million to help Ukraine and refugees.

U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE AND CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER DISCUSS UKRAINE SITUATION

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Russia’s aggression in Ukraine during a telephone conversation on Saturday, the U.S. State Department reports.

“The Secretary [speaking about the situation in Ukraine] noted the world is watching to see which nations stand up for the basic principles of freedom, self-determination and sovereignty,” the State Department’s press release reads.

As noted in the department, Blinken told his Chinese counterpart that the countries of the world act in concert in relation to Russia “ensuring that Moscow will pay a high price.”

Earlier this week, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China intends to continue cooperation with Russia in the field of trade and does not support any illegal unilateral sanctions.

Beijing, for its part, welcomed the start of negotiations between representatives of Russia and Ukraine and expressed hope that the parties will continue diplomatic efforts to resolve the situation around Ukraine.

BIGGEST UKRAINIAN RETAIL CHAINS REMOVE COCA-COLA FROM SALE

Ukrainian retail chains withdraw from sale the products of the American company Coca-Cola Co. due to the continuation of its work in the market of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the chains stop selling Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Schweppes carbonated drinks, BonAqua mineral water, FuzeTea iced tea, Rich juices, Monster Energy Drink and Burn energy drinks.
“Our supermarket chain no longer cooperates with the Coca-Cola company, which continues to operate in the territory of the aggressor. We are abandoning all products belonging to the brand,” the Novus supermarket chain posted on Facebook on Friday.
The Varus chain also announced the termination of the sale of Coca-Cola products.
“We made this decision, taking into account the official position of the Coca-Cola company to continue its activities in the market of the aggressor country,” Varus said.
Fozzy Group also refused to sell Coca-Cola products and condemned the company’s decision to continue operating in the Russian Federation.
“From today, we are removing all products from the shelves of Silpo, Fora, FOZZY Cash&Carry, Market super Thrash (Thrash) stores and stop all future deliveries,” the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
