The preparation of three Bayraktar Tb2 aircraft for free delivery to Ukraine within the framework of the People’s Bayraktar campaign is being completed, Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar said.

The Republic of Korea and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have announced a new partnership to support the government of Ukraine in its efforts to respond to the war.
“With this announcement the ROK will underpin emergency livelihoods and community recovery in Ukraine with a flexible contribution of $3 million, which will allow UNDP to adapt its operations to reach those most in need and enhance the response to the ongoing war,” the press service of the UNDP in Ukraine said on Friday.
UNDP’s acting Resident Representative in Ukraine Manal Fouani said the Republic of Korea’s investment in the humanitarian development nexus action for Ukraine comes at a critical time for continuing to strengthen the Ukrainian government’s ability to serve its people while planning for recovery.
“The complex humanitarian, development, and peace challenges now emerging in Ukraine underscore the importance of programming that responds to the multiple dimensions of the war,” she said. “The ROK strategic investment in further enhancing a decentralized approach for crisis coordination capacities, restoring basic infrastructure, and keeping Ukrainian businesses of all sizes up and running is just a demonstration of how investment in institutions and services can reduce the impact of a humanitarian catastrophe,” Fouani said.
To ensure resilience interventions have the maximum impact, leaving no one behind, the project will focus on the following four areas. In particular, Sustaining and increasing government crisis coordination capacities in areas impacted by the war and in locations hosting displaced people, taking into consideration the needs of people with disabilities and mine victims. In addition, supporting the restoration of basic infrastructure and essential utilities to mitigate physical harm to civilians and civilian infrastructure, and to facilitate the safe return of displaced people; mitigating the displacement of human capital and the dislocation of markets and productive capacities due to the war; supporting authorities and civil society in assessing and sustaining social service provision for vulnerable populations – especially in war-affected regions.
According to UNDP preliminary estimates, by the end of 2022, up to 90% of the population of Ukraine may face poverty and be vulnerable to poverty. There is a danger that eighteen years of social and economic achievements will be brought to naught.
JSC Ukrtransgaz, acting as the operator of UGS facilities in Ukraine, has begun preparations for certification for the use of the capacities of its UGS facilities by EU countries, the press service of the company reported on Friday.
“Ukrtransgaz has already begun preparations for passing the independent EU certification introduced for gas storage operators. The company is confident of its successful completion,” it said.
Ukraine, as a member of the Energy Community, is ready to offer up to 10 billion cubic meters of its capacity for gas storage by EU countries.
“There is a corresponding positive and comprehensive experience of cooperation with foreign customers of services. They have already had the opportunity to be convinced of the reliability of gas storage in Ukraine, and they continue to store it today in our facilities,” the press service noted.
In turn, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) in the course of a joint presentation with Ukrtransgaz at a meeting of the South-East European Gas (SEEGAS) Initiative emphasized that the gas transportation infrastructure and UGS facilities of Ukraine can become the basis for strengthening European and regional energy security already on the eve of the next winter.
According to Olha Belkova, the director for relations with government agencies and international organizations at the GTSOU, in order to further strengthen the energy security of the region of Central and Eastern Europe, Ukraine and partners from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova face the task of strengthening cooperation with countries such as Lithuania, Turkey, Greece and transatlantic partners.
She informed about the interest of Ukrainian traders in gaining access to LNG facilities in Europe. To transport gas to Ukraine from the Lithuanian and Polish LNG terminals, it is necessary to increase the guaranteed capacities on a long-term basis. There is also considerable interest in potential gas supplies from Greece and Turkey via the Trans-Balkan pipeline.
Fozzy Group has launched LOKO, a food-tech startup in Kyiv, which provides a quick delivery service for food and meals for guests, the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
This service was supposed to start on February 28, 2022, but due to a full-scale Russian invasion, its launch had to be delayed.
According to the press service, LOKO started a week ago, from the left-bank part of Kyiv. At the time of launch, the service is available in the districts of Pozniaky, Berezniaky and part of Osokorky of the capital – the current map of the coverage area is updated on the website.
In the nearest plans is the connection of the service in the entire capital. The next cities will be Lviv and Odesa, at the same time feedback from guests is being collected, in which other cities this service may be in demand.
The LOKO concept provides for the delivery of hybrid orders: products from a supermarket, own pastries and restaurant dishes. LOKO products and dishes are delivered in 15-30 minutes, depending on the filling of the order and the address. Delivery of orders is carried out by CityRiders – specialists who provide delivery services on electric scooters.
Now there are about 1,500 goods and restaurant dishes available, LOKO cooperates with the most popular restaurants in Pozniaky, Berezniaky and part of Osokorky in Kyiv.
According to the press service, in order to become partners of the program, restaurants need to fill in a form, the selection criteria are “popularity among local residents and the desire of the restaurants themselves to connect.”
The LOKO service is built into the Silpo mobile application, the delivery cost depends on the value of the order.
Fozzy Group is one of the largest Ukrainian retailers with more than 690 outlets throughout the country.
Ukrposhta from July 1 raises the cost of standard delivery within Ukraine by an average of 14% and within the region by 13%, the company’s press service said on Thursday.
“The tariff revision is caused, first of all, by an increase in logistics costs for delivery. However, even after the revision of the cost, Ukrposhta’s tariffs remain lower compared to competitors,” the company said.
According to the national postal operator, sending a parcel weighing up to 1 kg within Ukraine, which used to cost UAH 31, will cost UAH 35 after viewing the tariffs, and delivery of a parcel weighing up to 15 kg will cost UAH 75, compared to UAH 65 before viewing the tariffs.
The express delivery service will rise in price for shipment within the region by an average of 14%, within Ukraine – by 16%. If earlier a parcel up to 1 kg across Ukraine cost UAH 39, then from July 1 it will cost UAH 45.
The cost of sending documents will increase by 14%. The cost of international shipments will remain the same.
The relevant decision to revise tariffs was approved by the National Commission for Communications Regulation back in November 2021.
Naftogaz Ukrainy plans to import 15,600 tonnes of petrol and diesel fuel into the country in July, head of the company Yuriy Vitrenko said.
“Naftogaz joined the task of eliminating the shortage that arose in the oil products market at the end of April. For the third month already, we have been increasing the volume of deliveries, on average 2.5 times monthly. In July, we plan to deliver 15,600 tonnes of gasoline and diesel,” he said on Facebook.
According to him, the company is ready to contract dozens of times more, but logistical restrictions prevent the delivery of oil products to the border of Ukraine from major ports in Europe, where there is the resource.
“Despite this, we have a positive trend. And if such rates of increasing imports of fuel continue, then in a few months Naftogaz may become the market leader,” Vitrenko said.
As reported, Ukraine in June 2022 will increase fuel imports by 1.6 times compared to May – up to 600,000 tonnes. In particular, 2/3 of them will be diesel fuel, 1/3 – gasoline and liquefied gas.
