Ukraine and Israel have agreed on a special commercial flight Kyiv-Tel Aviv-Kyiv in early March to return Ukrainians home, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko has said.
“Ukraine and Israel have agreed on a special commercial flight Kyiv-Tel Aviv-Kyiv at the beginning of March to return Ukrainians home. The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel will additionally inform on the exact date and conditions for purchasing a ticket. Israel’s borders for regular flights remain closed,” he wrote on Twitter on Friday.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Kyiv Metropoliten have signed a loan agreement in the amount of EUR 50 million for the purchase of 50 new metro cars.
According to the website of Kyiv City State Administration, Kyiv City Council and the EBRD signed the necessary guarantee agreement.
“Today we are signing a loan agreement between the EBRD and Kyiv Metropoliten and a guarantee agreement between Kyiv City Council and the EBRD. And I hope that by the end of this year we will conclude a contract for the purchase of new cars for Kyiv Metropoliten. Under the terms of the loan, the city will receive an installment payment plan from the EBRD for 12 years,” Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said.
He also said that now Kyiv is building two new metro stations in Vynohradar residential area – Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy.
“We plan to open them by the end of the year. Today, more than 700 meters of 1.3 km of tunnel underground have been developed in the direction of the Syretska metro station. A tunnel is being built between the future stations Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy. Therefore, these cars will serve the Syretsko-Pecherska line of the metro,” Klitschko said.
According to the EBRD, improving communication with the Vynohradar residential area by opening two new metro stations will help reduce the use of private cars and improve air quality.
JSC Ukrposhta announced the resumption of export shipments to Ukraine by Japan Post from February 26.
“Ukrposhta will deliver from Japan Express Mail Service [EMS] items ordered by Ukrainians and those that are delivered by plane,” the Ukrainian postal operator said on Friday.
The company recalled that until February 7, Japan Post had restrictions in its work and, accordingly, the shipment of postal items to other countries was limited.
At the same time, Ukrposhta notes that the export of Ukrainian goods to Japan did not stop even during the pandemic.
“In January, 95% of EMS items were delivered to the Japanese post offices within seven days, and 5% within two weeks,” the Ukrainian postal operator said.
Since the beginning of the quarantine, Ukrposhta has ensured the delivery of EMS items to 57 countries, now items are delivered to 120 countries, and after the stabilization of air traffic and the restoration of full-fledged work of national post offices, the service will be available for delivery to 195 countries.
Prices for construction and installation work in Ukraine in January 2021 increased by 10.6% compared to January 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the statistics department, prices increased in all construction segments: in residential construction the growth was 6.6%, in non-residential construction – 7.1%, in engineering – 16.6%.
Compared to the previous month, the cost of construction of residential buildings increased by 2.8%, non-residential – by 3.5%, engineering structures – by 4.3%.
As reported, in 2020, prices for construction work increased by 3.7% compared to the previous year, while in 2019 – by 6%.
The figures are given without taking into account the annexed territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as part of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the State Statistics Service notes.
