LARGEST CAPITAL PRODUCER OF BAKERY RECEIVES UAH 2.76 MLN LOSS IN 2018

PrJSC Kyivkhlib, the largest capital producer of bread and bakery products, received a net loss of UAH 2.76 million in 2018 against a net profit of UAH 15.27 million a year earlier.
According to the company’s announcement of a general meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 22, its assets decreased by 11% last year, to UAH 688.22 million.
The total debtor indebtedness over the year declined by 25.5%, to UAH 303.43 million.
By the end of the year, the retained earnings of Kyivkhlib amounted to UAH 87.31 million.
PrJSC Kyivkhlib was established in 1996 by transforming state-owned enterprise Kyivkhlibprom. It consists of nine production sites in the capital and Kyiv region.

UKRAINE EXPORTS 35.6 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN IN 2018/2019 MY

Ukraine since the beginning of the 2018/2019 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of March 20, 2019 had exported 35.605 million tonnes of grain and leguminous plants, which is 20.8% more than on the same date of the previous MY.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, farmers exported 18.74 million tonnes of corn, 12.95 million tonnes of wheat, and 3.3 million tonnes of barley.
On that date, some 192,200 tonnes of flour had been also exported.
As reported, with reference to the ministry, Ukraine exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain in the 2017/2018 MY.

AGROTRADE PLANS TO INVEST $1.2 MLN IN AGRI MACHINERY

The Agrotrade Group in spring 2019 will invest $1.2 million in the upgrade of its agricultural machinery fleet, the press service of the company has reported.
“The company will purchase five tractors and three cultivators. The total amount of investments is about $ 1.2 million,” the agro holding’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the press service, Agrotrade intends to unify the equipment of the holding’s enterprises, which will help minimize costs.
“We are going to ensure that all the tractors will be made by the same manufacturer and of the same model range. At the moment, approximately 90% of our equipment is Case and New Holland, and about 10% is John Deere. We plan to gradually abandon the latter,” the press service reported, citing Financial and Operations Director at Agrotrade Olena Vorona.
Agrotrade is a vertically integrated holding, engaged in production, processing, storage and trade in agricultural products. It manages 72,000 hectares of farmland in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions.

ASKA-LIFE INSURER SEES NET PROFIT RISE BY 28%

PrJSC ASKA-Life insurance company (Kyiv) in 2018 saw a net profit of UAH 11.6 million, which is 27.7% more than in 2017.
According to official information for the agenda of a meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 23, the insurer’s retained earnings amounted to UAH 52.204 million, which is 28.6% more than a year earlier.
The company’s assets last year increased slightly, to UAH 188.7 million.
Net worth grew by 10.3%, to UAH 77.1 million. At the same time, charter capital remained at the level of UAH 19.385 million.
Cash and cash equivalents increased by 3.2%, to UAH 57.8 million.
Debtor indebtedness decreased by 15.6%, to UAH 28.154 million.
Long-term liabilities decreased by 20.4%, to UAH 88.822 million, current liabilities increased by 3.6 times, to UAH 23.262 million.
