The state specialized enterprise Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) has announced a tender to dismantle unstable structures of the Shelter facility (the old confinement over the destroyed fourth station power unit) with the expected total cost of UAH 2.547 billion, according to data in the ProZorro electronic procurement system.
The deadline for submitting bids is April 15, the auction will take place on May 21, the deadline for providing services is December 20, 2023.
As reported, a new safe confinement, the construction of which began in 2012 after extensive preparatory work at the site, was pushed over the old Shelter. Due to the large size of the confinement, it had to be built in two parts, which were raised and successfully connected in 2015. Inside the confinement arch, a crane is installed to dismantle the existing old confinement and the remnants of the fourth power unit. The new safe confinement has a design working life of 100 years. Its construction cost EUR 1.5 billion.
INGO Ukraine Life insurance company (Kyiv) collected UAH 30.3 million in insurance premiums in 2018, which is 19% more than in 2017, the company has said in a press release.
“The company consistently maintains the growth pace for premiums collected, retains a leading position in the corporate risk life insurance market, including through new contracts in the segment of not only foreign, but also local companies,” Director General Tetiana Ryzhova said.
The total amount of insurance payment paid by the company in claims for 2018 amounted to UAH 13.3 million, which is 12% higher compared to 2017.
Of these, UAH 4.551 million was paid in cases of death, UAH 3.048 million was paid for disability, UAH 3.178 million was paid to hospitalized and temporary incapacitated persons, and UAH 2.321 million was paid over diseases critical for life of insured persons.
In addition, in 2018, payments were also made on long term endowment insurance contracts for a total of UAH 193,000.
The indefinite life insurance license was obtained by JSC INGO Ukraine Life in November 2007. From April 26, 2013, the company represents the interests of GeneraliEmployeeBenefits (GEB) in Ukraine.
The operator of the gas transportation system JSC Ukrtransgaz has commissioned Kalush-2 gas distribution station (Ivano-Frankivsk region) after reconstruction, the press service of the company has reported.
The total investment in the reconstruction amounted to UAH 82 million. The station is equipped with automatic management systems with functional alarm systems and systems of automatic protection against pressure increase/decrease.
In addition, an ultrasonic gas flow measurement system is installed at the station.
“With the rapid development of industry in Kalush, the modernization and restoration of activities of chemical enterprises and, accordingly, increasing consumption volumes, the station will ensure a reliable and uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers,” the report said.
Kalush-2 gas distribution station, built in 1975, supplies gas to the city, nearby villages and industrial consumers from the Uhersko-Ivano-Frankivsk-Chernivtsi gas pipeline.
During a working visit to Chernivtsi region Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan examined a bridge in the village of Roztoky of Putyla district, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry has reported.
“In 2008, as a result of flooding, roads and bridges of Chernivtsi region were significantly damaged… In the continuation of the construction of a bridge in the village of Roztoky, UAH 75 million were provided. UAH 100 million will be sent this year for the bridge over the Prut River. These are real steps of restoring the infrastructure of Ukraine. I thank the President of Ukraine, who identified the infrastructure as a key priority, as well as the governments of [Arseniy] Yatsenyuk and [Volodymyr] Groysman, which make it possible to gradually change the road network, repair bridges and give people new quality of travelling Ukraine,” the ministry said on the official page in the Facebook network on Sunday night.
Total subventions from the Road Fund for local roads in 2019 will be about UAH 15 billion.
“This is a large amount of financing, which has never happened before. All these funds should be used to restore roads and bridges in the regions, 20% of the funds can be spent on public roads. But for great effect, I urge local authorities to co-finance road repairs,” Omelyan said.
