KYIV. Oct 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – AvtoKrAZ (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), the only manufacturer of heavy trucks in Ukraine, has supplied the second batch (three units) of KrAZ-6443 all-wheel drive tractive vehicles to Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC (Kyiv), the leading Ukrainian supplier of diesel generators and compressor equipment.
According to the press service of AvtoKrAZ, the vehicles are designed for towing vehicles and special semi-trailers with a gross mass of 48 tonnes, have a full mass of a 59-tonne road train, and a vertical load on the fifth wheel coupling of 17 tonnes.
The press service notes the previous delivery to Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine in late May this year included KrAZ-6322 all-terrain vehicles and a semi-trailer truck of the same model.
According to a press release, after fulfilling its obligations in full, this contractor signed an additional contract with AvtoKrAZ for the manufacture of all-wheel drive tractors, which was done.
AvtoKrAZ produces 33 basic models, more than 260 modifications and complete sets of KrAZ automotive equipment for work in all sectors of the economy and in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-September 2017 increased electricity exports by 47.6% compared to the same period in 2016, to 4.182 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Deliveries of electricity from the energy island of Burshtyn thermal power plant in the direction of Hungary, Slovakia and Romania increased by 19.6%, to 2.489 billion kWh.
Electricity supplies to Poland fell by 3.5%, to 723.2 million kWh.
Electricity supplies to Moldova totaled 970 million kWh compared to 3.7 million kWh in the nine months through September 2016.
Ukrainian electricity was not exported to Belarus and Russia in January-September in 2016 and 2017.
In September along, exports of Ukrainian electricity amounted to 396.9 million kWh, which is 76.7% more than in September 2016. This is due to the resumption of commercial exports to Moldova from April 2017.
In addition, Ukraine in January-September 2017 imported 38.5 million kWh of electricity against 57.7 million kWh for January-September of 2016.
KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Nuclear Fuel state concern and Kazatomprom signed an agreement on cooperation in late September, the Ukrainian company said on its Facebook page.
“The signing of the agreement opens wide prospects for the development of Ukrainian-Kazakh relations in the development of nuclear industry enterprises of Ukraine and Kazakhstan,” the report said.
As reported, in August 2016 former head of Kazatomprom Askar Zhumagaliyev at a meeting with Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk suggested using mobile complexes for extraction and processing of uranium developed by the Kazakhstan Institute of High Technologies. According to him, the advantage of such complexes is compactness and no need for capital construction, which is especially important for work on sites with small uranium reserves.
KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Interpipe international vertically integrated pipe and wheel company intends to establish a joint venture with the leading manufacturer of seamless pipes in Europe, Vallourec (France).
According to a report, Interpipe sent relevant documents to obtain permission from the German antitrust authorities.
In addition, the website of the German regulatory authorities reported that the request for obtaining permits from Interpipe and Vallourec was registered on October 4 this year.
The press service of Interpipe confirmed the intention to create a joint venture of two companies.
“We confirm the filing of an appeal to the antitrust authority of Germany within the framework of cooperation between the companies. It is premature to talk about specifics. We do not comment on the procedure of consideration until it is completed,” the Interpipe press service said.
Interpipe is one of the world’s ten largest manufacturers of seamless pipes, the third largest manufacturer of solid-rolled railway wheels in the world.
KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan and Polish Minister of Infrastructure and Construction Andrzej Adamczyk have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the construction of the Via Carpatia international transport highway, the press service of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry has reported.
“Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan and Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of the Republic of Poland [Andrzej Adamczyk] have signed a memorandum of understanding on further cooperation as part of the Via Carpatia project. The signing ceremony took place in Przemysl, Poland, on October 22, 2017,” reads a report posted on the ministry’s website on Sunday.
During the meeting the ministers discussed preparations for the construction of two new transport corridors – Via Carpatia and Go Highway. Omelyan noted that Via Carpatia will help integrate transport systems in Eastern Europe and the European Union.
“The corridor across the Carpathians is also a bridge between Europe and Asia. It helps use the transit potential of Poland, Ukraine and other partner countries. This is why the development of transport infrastructure is extremely important for ensuring stable transport services from Europe to Asia through Ukraine and Poland,” he said.
KYIV. Oct 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – An announcement about the search for an investor in PJSC Creativ (formerly part of the eponymous agro-industrial group) with a debt of UAH 19.389 billion has been published in the Holos Ukrainy newspaper.
According to the report, on June 6, 2016 the Kyiv Economic Court opened a case on the bankruptcy of PJSC Creativ.
Arbitration manager Vadym Kyzlenko has been appointed property administrator.
The investor’s proposals for Creativ should include confirmation of the possibility of renewing the solvency of the company with indication of the source of financing, a plan for restructuring and debt repayment, a plan to resume the economic activities of the company.
Proposals must be submitted by November 10, 2017.
The announcement also indicates contacts for submission of proposals.
As reported, until 2016 Creativ had been one of the largest producers of fat and oil goods in Ukraine. The group consisted of three sunflower processing plants with a total capacity of about 1.1 million tonnes of seeds per year, as well as four plants for production of modified fat and margarine with a total annual output of more than 200,000 tonnes of finished products (Kirovohrad region). It also had a soybean processing plant with a capacity of 270,000 tonnes per year. The company owned eight elevator complexes in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, crop farms and a livestock complex.
