Dniprospetsstal Electrometallurgical Plant (Zaporizhia) in January-July 2019 reduced rolled goods production by 10% compared to the same period last year, to 88,400 tonnes, according to the recent reports.
As the enterprise told Interfax-Ukraine, for the seven months it reduced steel production by 14.7%, to 126,000 tonnes.
In July, the plant produced 19,000 tonnes of steel, 14,000 tonnes of rolled goods.
Dniprospetsstal is Ukraine’s only manufacturer of high-quality rolled products and forgings made of special steel grades: stainless, tool, bearing, structural, and also from nickel-based superalloys.
Ukraine’s forex reserves in July 2019 grew by $1.2 billion or 5.8%, to $21.84 billion thanks to net purchase of currency on the interbank currency market by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), according to preliminary data posted on the central bank’s website.
Hungary’s low cost Wizz Air airline in autumn 2019 will launch flights to seven new destinations: six from Odesa and one from Lviv, Paulina Gosk, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air, said at a briefing in Odesa. According to her, from Odesa, in particular, twice a week from November flights will be operated to Budapest (Hungary), Berlin (Germany), Bratislava (Slovakia), Wroclaw, Gdansk, and Katowice (all are in Poland).
In addition, on October 28, it is planned to launch the Lviv-Larnaca (Cyprus) flights.
“In 2019, 17 new destinations from Ukraine were opened,” Gosk said.
The airline expects that thanks to the increase in the number of destinations, 2.6 million seats will be sold this year, and in general, 53 destinations will be covered from Ukraine by the end of 2019, Gosk said.
As reported, in January-July 2019, Wizz Air transported 1.3 million passengers from and to Ukraine and this is almost twice as much compared to the same period in 2018.

The Irish low cost airline Ryanair (Dublin) from November 2019 will perform 113 flights a week to 40 destinations from Ukraine, which is 2 times more than the figure for November 2018 (52 flights, 17 destinations).
According to the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, 80 flights a week in 26 directions will be operated from Kyiv from November 2019.
Six flights per week will be operated from Kharkiv in three directions, 13 flights per week from Odesa in six directions (in November 2018, flights from these cities were not operated).
From Lviv, there will be 14 flights per week in five directions (the same number of flights was carried out in November 2018).
The supervisory board of the National Depository of Ukraine (NDU) has approved a Main Delivery Agreement that signed with Britain’s Percival Software Limited to deliver Depend system software to the central depository and to provide its support within three years.
The cost of software delivery and support services is $330,000 with envisaged preliminary payment for each subsequent quarter, the NDU reported that in the information disclosure system of the Ukraine’s National Securities and Stock Market Commission on August 2.
Percival was founded in the UK in 1986.
It is a developer and vendor of advanced software solutions for central securities depositories all over the world. Since 2008, the company won nine CSD contracts spanning 21 countries.
Average retail prices for petrol and diesel fuel in Ukraine from July 29 to August 5 remained at the level of the previous week, while prices of LPG decreased by 3.24%.
