KYIV. July 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrposhta and VUSO insurance company (both based in Kyiv) on July 5 signed a contract on insurance of drivers against accidents and health insurance, according to the ProZorro electronic procurement system.
According to the agreement, 2,767 people are insured.
The insurance payment per capita is UAH 27,539 thousand. The total insurance payment for all the contracts is UAH 73,695.
The contract is signed with a zero franchise.
As reported, the primary price offer of VUSO was UAH 122,500, the final price stood at UAH 73,695. At the same time, the expected cost of purchasing services was UAH 350,000.
In addition to VUSO, five more insurers participated in the tender.
VUSO has been working in the insurance market for 15 years. It has 24 licenses. Of these, 16 are on voluntary and 8 on compulsory types of insurance. The company is represented in all regions of Ukraine, has 31 representative offices.
KYIV. July 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine shipped 4,123 tonnes of cheese onto foreign markets in January-June, 2017, which was 21.3% higher than the same period of 2016.
The shipments increased by 47% in monetary terms, to $14.35 million, Ukraine’s State Fiscal Service said in its customs statistics reports.
Cheese imports in the period under review totaled 4,320 tonnes, an increase by 33.3% compared to the same period last year. The country imported products worth $19.12 million (imports in January-June 2016 were estimated at $13.16 million).
At the same time, exports of butter from Ukraine in January-June 2017 increased by 3.1 times, to 12,270 tonnes. Shipments in monetary terms amounted to almost $44.802 million against $10.93 million in January-June 2016. Butter imports in the six months fell almost 66.7%: from 689 tonnes ($2.25 million) to 231 tonnes ($1.17 million).
Exports of condensed milk and cream in January-June 2017 decreased by 10.7%, to 23,330 tonnes. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream to the tune of $40.4 million, which was 13.7% more than in January-June 2016 ($35.53 million).
As was reported, Ukraine in 2016 exported 8,050 tonnes of cheese, which was 25.6% less than in 2015. Imports of cheeses increased by 31.2%, to 7,060 tonnes.
LONDON. July 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman believes that it would be possible to get most from the interaction with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) through to the launch of a new cooperation program.
“If you ask me, as prime minister, would I like to launch a new program and hold a dialogue on a new program? Yes, I would like and would consider this to be the most efficient way to create an action plan for our work,” the prime minister said during the Dragon Capital investment conference in London on Friday, responding to a question about the revision of the cooperation program with the IMF.
At the same time, Groysman stressed Ukraine needs to comply with the commitments it has taken under the current cooperation program.
LONDON. July 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland has said that Canadian companies are interested in trade with Ukraine under the free trade area (FTA) agreement.
“Ukraine has the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada…Canadian business has been already reporting to me their enthusiasm for the trade,” she said at the Ukraine Reform Conference held in London on Thursday.
The minister said that Ukraine and Canada 100 years of historic emigration connection and Canada will continue cooperating with Ukraine.
