UKRAINE BOOSTS IMPORTS OF ALUMINUM ORES

Ukraine in January-May of this year increased imports of aluminum ores and concentrate (bauxite) in kind by 12.3% compared to the same period last year, to 2.185 million tonnes.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service on Tuesday, during this period, imports of bauxite in monetary terms increased 16.8%, to $99.393 million.
At the same time, aluminum ores were mainly imported from Guinea (60.15% of supplies in monetary terms), as well as from Brazil (22.26%) and Ghana (16.31%).
Ukraine in January-May 2021 re-exported bauxite in the amount of 94 tonnes for the tune of $19,000 to Poland (84.21%) and Germany (15.79%).

UKRAINE CUTS IMPORTS OF ALUMINUM ORE

Ukraine in January-October of 2019 decreased imports of aluminum ore and concentrate (bauxites) in natural terms by 0.9% compared to the same period in 2018, to 4.039 million tonnes.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, during this period bauxite imports in monetary terms increased 10.5%, to $181.866 million.
Imports were mainly from Guinea (53.86% of deliveries in monetary terms), Guyana (39.55%), and Brazil (2.92%).
In January-October 2019, some 22 tonnes of bauxite were exported to Poland for $1,000, whereas in January-October 2018 some 45 tonnes of bauxite were re-exported to Poland for $5,000.
As reported, Ukraine in 2018 increased imports of aluminum ore and concentrate (bauxite) in natural terms by 4.6% compared with 2017, to 5.089 million tonnes. Imports of bauxite in monetary terms fell by 2.4%, to $207.222 million. Imports were mainly from Guinea (57.17% of deliveries in monetary terms), Guyana (36.63%), and Brazil (4.37%).
In 2018, some 45 tonnes of bauxite were also re-exported to Poland for $5,000, while in 2017 some 162 tonnes of bauxite worth $ 10,000 were re-exported.

UKRAINE RAISES IMPORTS OF ALUMINUM ORE BY 10%

Ukraine in January-July of this year increased imports of aluminum ore and concentrate (bauxites) in natural terms by 9.8% compared to the same period in 2018, to 3.42 million tonnes.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, during this period bauxite imports in monetary terms increased by 21.3%, to $133.376 million.
At the same time, imports were mainly from Guinea (58.31% of deliveries in monetary terms), Guyana (36.62%), and Brazil (2.19%).
In January-July 2019, some 22 tonnes of bauxite were exported to Poland for $1,000, whereas in January-July 2018 some 45 tonnes of bauxite were re-exported to Poland for $5,000.

UKRAINE RAISES IMPORTS OF ALUMINUM ORE BY 6.3% IN JAN-JULY 2018

Ukraine in January-July of this year increased imports of aluminum ore and concentrate (bauxites) in natural terms by 6.3% compared to the same period in 2017, to 2.772 million tonnes.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, during this period bauxite imports in monetary terms decreased by 1.3%, to $109.994 million.
At the same time, imports were mainly from Guinea (57.99% of deliveries in monetary terms), Guyana (35.86%), and Brazil (5.48%).
In January-July 2018 some 45 tonnes of bauxite were re-exported to Poland for $5,000, whereas in January-July 2017 some 22 tonnes of bauxite were re-exported to Poland for $1,000 and 140 tonnes worth $9,000 to Russia.
As reported, Ukraine in 2017 raised imports of bauxite in natural terms by 21.8% compared to 2016, to 4.864 million tonnes, in monetary terms by 36.9%, to $212.370 million. Imports were carried out mainly from Guinea (45.92% of supplies in monetary terms), Guyana (28.72%), and Brazil (14.86%).
As a whole, in 2017 some 162 tonnes worth $10,000 were exported, whereas in 2016 re-exports were not carried out.
