Namsen Limited, a legal entity under control of Board Chairman of Kernel agricultural holding Andriy Verevsky, from October 3 through October 7, 2019 acquired 36,898 shares in Kernel Holding S.A. (Luxembourg) at average PLN 42.74 per share ($10.85 under the current exchange rate).
According to a company report on the website of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), the company increased its stake in Kernel from 39.93% to 39.97%, and the total number of shares held by Namsen increased to 32.7454 million.
Kernel is the world’s largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil, the leading manufacturer and supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region to the world markets.
Llentab Group of Companies (Sweden), designer and manufacturer of multifunctional steel buildings, has completed building of the warehouse premises with a total area of 5,500 square meters in town of Baryshivka in Kyiv region. As the company reported on its website, the premises was built for the Dutch HatchTech incubation equipment producer. The warehouse is equipped with gates and reloading platforms with dock shelters.

The Swiss company Nestle has bought a 9.5% stake in PrJSC Volynholding (the Torchyn brand), the largest producer of ketchup, mayonnaise, sauces and seasonings.
According to a company report in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, after the purchase, the share of Nestle in Volynholding became 100%.
According to the report dated September 13, 2018, the company decided to sell 1,900 previously purchased shares to Volynholding’s shareholder. This stake, owned by the company, was 9.5%.
The net income of Volynholding in 2017 amounted to UAH 1.3 billion (7.5% more), net profit some UAH 89.1 million (0.8% more). Information for 2018 is not yet available.
PrJSC Volynholding produces ketchup, mayonnaise, sauces, pickles, mustard, dressings and spices under the Torchyn brand.
Nestle in Ukraine and Moldova has more than 5,500 employees. The company in Ukraine has three production sites (in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Torchyn, Volyn region), as well as one of the five Nestle service centers in the world – Nestle Business Service (NBS Lviv).
The Slovenian company Riko in August this year will begin the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 10.6 MW near Zhytomyr, mayor of the regional center Serhiy Sukhomlin, who signed a contract with director of the Slovenian company Janez Skrabec, has said. “The plant will be built near the village of Hlybochytsia on a plot of 18 hectares. It is planned to complete the work by August 2019 … Special thanks to the members of the government of the Republic of Slovenia for the issue of EUR3 million grant funds for this project,” Sukhomlin wrote on Facebook.
He noted this is the second project that Riko will implement in Zhytomyr: previously Slovenia won a tender for the reconstruction of the drinking water pumping station of municipal enterprise Zhytomyrvodokanal.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko, in turn, congratulated Zhytomyr with the launch of such an ambitious project and expressed belief that the city has all chances to become Ukraine’s first city having its own solar power plant. “Financing the project: credit facilities plus financial support from the government of Slovenia plus city guarantees,” Zubko wrote on his Facebook page. He also noted that the future effect for Zhytomyr is about EUR1.65 million of additional revenue per year, and also the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
A new biogas plant would start operating in the coming month in Okny district of Odesa region, Deputy Head of Odesa Regional Administration Svitlana Shatalova has written on her Facebook page. She said that at present the startup work is being conducted at the plant, which construction cost EUR 17 million.
“They want to build four more,” the official said. According to the Okny District Administration, the plant was designed to treat waste and silage into biogas for the production of electric and heat energy. The capacity of the complex will be 5 MW. It will create 25 jobs.

Public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia since the start of the current year has expanded the fleet of its gondola cars by 1,750, including 1,300 cars built at own plants of Ukrzaliznytsia, acting Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov has said.
“We carried out the deregulation of the wagon component of the tariff. We keep promises and increase the fleet of gondola cars. 1,750 cars have already arrived in the regional branches, 50 more gondola cars and a fitting platform are expected at the end of June,” Kravtsov wrote on his Facebook page.
He recalled that this year, in general, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to build 3,600 cars at its own plants.
“In the near future, we will put into operation a fitting platform for the transportation of containers built at the Ukrzaliznytsia’s plant. Earlier we bought them, now we are producing them at our facilities,” Kravtsov said.
In addition, the head of Ukrzaliznytsia said that before the end of the year Paniutynsky car-repair plant plans to start the release of the most popular wagons – grain carriers.
“Design documentation is already being developed, and later we expect the first sample and tests,” he added.
At the same time, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said last week at a meeting with the European Business Association (EBA) that he does not support the independent building of the car fleet by Ukrzaliznytsia.
