The Ukrainian airline SkyUp has expanded its fleet with the eighth aircraft – Boeing 737-800, the airline reported on its Facebook page.
According to the report, the new Boeing 737-800 with a UR-SQG tail number landed at Boryspil airport (Kyiv) on June 7.
The airplane will be a reserve aircraft of the main fleet, sometimes it will perform one-time charter flights on the order of corporate clients.
The airline’s fleet also consists of five medium-haul Boeing 737-800s (189 seats) and two medium-haul Boeing 737-700s (144,149 seats).
SkyUp Airline LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016.
Kusto Logistics, part of Kusto Agro PTE. Ltd. (Singapore) has acquired 25 grain hoppers and plans to expand its fleet to 70 hoppers by the end of this year.
“Now the total fleet of the company’s wagons is 45 units. It is planned to purchase another 25 grain hoppers [by the end of 2019],” the company told Interfax-Ukraine.
As reported, Kusto Agro acquired Lischynske LLC and Tereschenko Agrarian Fund LLC in Zhytomyr region from France’s AgroGeneration with assets in Ukraine.
Kusto Agro is part of the international holding Kusto Group (Singapore), which develops business in oil, energy, agricultural, construction and other industries. Kusto Group implements projects in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkey, Vietnam, and China.
In Ukraine, the company’s land bank is 12,000 hectares in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytsky regions. In addition, Kusto Agro owns three silos with a total storage capacity of 90,000 tonnes. The group also has about 600 heads of dairy herd.
According to the information on the group’s website, Kusto Agro plans to create a land bank for crop production of at least 100,000 hectares over the next five years.
SkyUp airline has expanded its fleet with third Boeing 737-800 NG plane with 189 seats made in 2013, which became the fourth plane in the airline’s fleet.
“On the evening of November 28, the fourth plane of SkyUp Airlines, a Ukrainian low cost airline, Boeing 737-800, landed at the Kyiv airport,” Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport said on its Facebook page on Thursday.
In addition to the Boeing 737-800 NG, SkyUp has one Boeing 737-700 NG with 149 seats, and by the end of December, the airline is waiting for one more aircraft of each these two modifications.
SkyUp Airline LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016. The founder of SkyUp was ACS-Ukraine LLC belonging to Tetiana Alba and Yuriy Alba, who also own JoinUp! tour operator. The company began charter flights from the end of May 2018.
In October 2018, SkyUp airline received a Third Country Operator (TCO) License, allowing flying to 28 countries of the European Union (EU), as well as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein. In December, the airline plans to launch regular flights.
PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) has extended its wagon fleet by 2.5 times, commissioning 450 new high-sided wagons received under a financial leasing scheme. According to a press release of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, at the beginning of 2018 the enterprise received 50 new cars: thus, this year the company has commissioned 500 wagons to transport its metal products and supply raw materials to the plant.
At the same time, it is noted that as a result its own fleet has increased by 2.5 times, which allows the company to carry out about 10-15% of its transportation independently, regardless of the situation in the railway market and the availability of wagons. This will help reduce the cost of delivering outgoing and incoming goods, as well as give an opportunity to consider new directions of metal products and iron ore concentrate transportation for exports.
All new wagons for the enterprise are manufactured by PJSC Dniprovahonmash, which is one of the participants in the signed agreement under the scheme of financial leasing.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is the largest producer of steel goods in Ukraine. It specializes in production of long goods, in particular, fittings and wire rod.
Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) has expanded its fleet with one more new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation plane, which was delivered to the Boryspil airport from the plant of Boeing Concern in Seattle. The press service of the UIA reported that the aircraft has been registered UR-UID and became the 30th medium-haul B737 NG in the UIA fleet.
The aircraft accommodates 186 passengers in two-class cabin configuration, i.e. Business Class and Economy Class. It is planned to operate across UIA’s medium-haul route network. The aircraft is scheduled to start operating commercial flights in the second half of May
“UIA continues its rapid fleet renewal program. Currently, our fleet contains 30 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. This year, UIA plans to phase out the last three of its Boeing 737 Classic models from the fleet. All our passengers will now be provided with quality service and comfort on more modern aircraft,” UIA Communications Director Yevhenia Satska said.
Over the past five months, UIA has already taken delivery of six aircraft: two wide-body long-haul Boeing-777s and four medium-haul Boeing 737-800 NGs, three of which arrived directly from Boeing facilities in Seattle. During Q2 – Q3 2018, UIA expects to receive two more wide-body long-haul Boeing 777-200ER aircraft and another two Embraer 195 medium-haul aircraft.
