UKRAINIAN RIBAS PLANS TO OPEN ONE MORE HOTEL

Ribas Hotels Group LLC (Odesa), the managing company of the national chain of midscale and upscale tourist hotel and restaurant complexes, plans to open a hotel in Karolino-Buhaz (Odesa region) in 2020. “In the resort village of Karolino-Buhaz, in May 2020 we will launch the Montana Beach hotel with 69 rooms: standard, junior suite, and suite. For guests with disabilities, we also open superior rooms. The interior and exterior of the facility are styled of America in 1950s of. The planned amount of investment is $2.7 million,” Director General of Ribas Hotels Group Artur Lupashko said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the company is positioning the facility as a family hotel. Thus, the project includes a medical center and a nursing room; on each floor there are special alcoves for storing baby strollers.
In addition, the infrastructure of the facility includes two restaurants, one of which is designed on the roof, next to the lounge area and the playground.
“We are also currently finishing work on the environment-friendly facility project for introverts on the Kinburn Spit with about 30 rooms with a small oriental restaurant. It will be small cozy campgrounds. The planned investment amount is $1 million,” Lupashko said.
He said that according to the project, the complex includes a swimming pool, a barbecue area, an open cinema hall, and an entertainment zone with trampolines. The project plan also includes a building for staff accommodation.

RIBAS HOTELS GROUP FROM ODESA PLANS TO BUILD HOTEL IN BUKOVEL

Ribas Hotels Group LLC (Odesa), the managing company of the national chain of three- and four-star hotel and restaurant complexes, has completed the acquisition of a hotel in Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and plans to build a new one there by the end of 2019. “In December 2019, the managing company Ribas Hotels Group plans to open a new hotel in Bukovel. The facility is located in Polianytsia (162a Vyshni Street), next to ski lift No. 1,” the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
The new hotel will be built on the site of the previously acquired hotel facility, which has already been dismantled. The hotel will occupy 3,200 square meters; $4 million will be invested in the project, the company said. “The hotel will offer 45 rooms, and include a spacious restaurant with a terrace, co-working with panoramic mountain views. Before the blueprints were drawn up, we talked to pro skiers and snowboarders, so infrastructure for active tourists takes into account the smallest details… There will also be rooms for guests with disabilities,” General Director of Ribas Hotels Group Artur Lupashko said.
According to him, the swimming pool, Finnish saunas and Roman baths, spa tubs, a massage parlor and a large spa area are almost ready.
As Lupashko earlier said, Ribas Hotels Group in 2019 plans to channel UAH 300 million in investors’ funds into the construction of new hotels. As of February 2019, it manages 25 hospitality facilities.

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HOTEL AT BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BEGIN IN SPRING

The construction of a hotel at Boryspil International Airport will begin this spring, and a total of four hotels can be built at the airport, director general of the airport Pavlo Riabikin has said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
“We have issued technical conditions for connecting to networks for two objects that are positioned as hotels. Private investors are building them. Two more companies are interested. Therefore, we consider four potential hotels. Construction work at one of them will start this spring,” he said.
According to the airport’s director, if construction companies successfully implement their plans, about 200 rooms could appear at the airport, which will allow to cover the basic demand.
Riabikin also noted that he had not heard “any well-known names from the point of view of hotel business operators,” but he connects this with the fact that the operators themselves do not build housing but manage.

REIKARTZ CHAIN EXPANDED WITH ONE MORE HOTEL

Reikartz Hotel Management LLC (Kyiv), a managing company of the Reikartz Hotel Group, has signed a contract to manage a first hotel in Yaremche (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Stanislavsky Hotel, which entered the chain under the Vita Park brand.
“The resort hotel Stanislavsky entered the network under the brand Vita Park, and from November 1, begins work under the name of VitaPark Stanislavsky Yaremche,” Reikartz said on its website.
Reikartz Hotel Group Operating Director Andriy Dema said that the complex infrastructure includes 54 rooms of various categories. He also said that by the middle of 2019, the second building with 130 rooms will be open.
Reikartz started its activity in the sphere of hotel services in Ukraine in 2003 after a group of Belgian architects, led by Francois Ryckaerts, had bought an old mansion in Drukarska Street in the center of Lviv.
Reikartz Hotel Group unites 37 hotels in Ukraine, two in Sweden and three in Germany.

ODESA RIBAS HOTELS GROUP TO BUY HOTEL IN BUKOVEL

Ribas Hotels Group LLC (Odesa), the managing company of the national network of three- and four-star hotel and restaurant complexes, plans to complete the acquisition of a hotel in Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk region, by the end of 2018, and in two or three years to gain a foothold in all resort regions of Ukraine.
“We are positioning ourselves as a network of tourist-oriented hotels. Therefore the main focus is on Western Ukraine: in September we are buying a hotel in Bukovel, we are negotiating for the purchase of a 50% stake in one of the largest hotels in Lviv. We also plan to launch a hostel or an apart-hotel. We are looking to the hotels for rent in Kyiv,” Artur Lupashko, the founder of Ribas Hotels Group, told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the opening of a hotel in Bukovel is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2019. The facility is unfinished and it will take eight or nine months to complete all the works.
Lupashko added the company also plans to enter the international market.
Ribas Hotels Group also plans to develop a franchise direction.

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL OPENS FIRST ALOFT HOTEL IN UKRAINE

The international hotel chain Marriott International on May 18 officially opened the Aloft Kiev hotel at the intersection of Baseina Street and Esplanadna Street, which became the first facility of the company in Ukraine.
According to a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko during the official ceremony noted that the opening of a new hotel on the eve of the UEFA Champions League final in the capital is a positive event.
“There are a lot of speculations in this direction, prices are rising, so I’ll say: it is very good now, before the Champions League final, to open an additional hotel, additional rooms,” he said.
The press service of the Aloft Kiev hotel said as of the day of its opening all the rooms have already been reserved.
The hotel room stock is 310 rooms of different categories, the total area of the object is more than 18,000 square meters. Its infrastructure also includes three conference rooms, a restaurant in the Grab & Go format, etc.
In addition, the hotel is equipped with the SPG Keyless system, which provides access to rooms using a telephone without the need to obtain a key at the front desk.
The technical opening of the Aloft Kiev hotel took place on February 27, 2018.
The Aloft brand belongs to the American network Starwood Hotels & Resorts, acquired by Marriott International in 2016.
