“Ukrzaliznytsia” to increase number of flights on Kyiv-Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk routes

Ukrzaliznytsia JSC is introducing additional flights between Kyiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk on February 16-18 in response to increased demand, the company reports.

“Although February is traditionally considered a ‘low’ season of mobility, we have recorded an increase in demand for travel on February 16-18. Therefore, we are already promptly scheduling additional flights between Kyiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk, which will consist exclusively of new cars,” Ukrzaliznytsia said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the number of seats on the Kyiv-Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk route will be increased by train #195/196, which will depart Kyiv on February 16 and 18 at 07:37, Lviv at 14:46-15:06, and arrive in Ivano-Frankivsk at 18:18. The train will depart back from Ivano-Frankivsk on February 16 and 18 at 19:25, Lviv at 21:54 – 23:05, arriving in Kyiv the next day at 06:19.

“On February 16 and 18, train #192/191 Lviv-Kyiv will depart from Lviv to Kyiv, departing from the city of Lviv at 11:55 a.m. and arriving in the capital at 22:09 p.m.,” Ukrzaliznytsia informs.

Tourist collection of Ivano-Frankivsk region amounted to 15.3 million UAH

Tourist collection of Ivano-Frankivsk region in January-October 2022 amounted to 15.3 million UAH, which is 80.2% more than in the same period last year.
“This is 80.2% more than in the same period last year, and at the same time 47.3% more than the indicator for the entire last year,” Vitaly Perederko, head of the tourism department of the department of international cooperation, eurointegration, tourism and investment Ivano-Frankivsk OVA, said on Facebook.
According to him, the most revenues during this period received Polyanitske (8.3 million UAH), Yaremche (2.7 million UAH), Ivano-Frankivsk (2.1 million UAH) territorial communities.

IVANO-FRANKIVSK MAKES TENDER FOR DUAL-MODE TROLLEYBUSES FOR EUR 3.6 MLN

Communal enterprise Elektroavtotrans (Ivano-Frankivsk), together with the European Investment Bank (EIB), has announced a tender for the purchase of new trolleybuses with a possibility of making at least 10 km in off-wire mode with a length of 16.5 meters to 18.54 meters (articulated) for EUR 3.615 million.
According to the procurement announcement posted in ProZorro, it is planned to supply new low-floor dual-mode trolleybuses of a three-axle model with a width of no more than 2.5 meters excluding side mirrors and a height of no more than 3.8 meters. Total passenger capacity is at least 120 people, the number of seats is 38, including four seats for priority category passenger and the number of places for wheelchair is at least one.
The procurement also includes spare parts, maintenance equipment and related services.
The first delivery of the dual-mode trolleybuses is scheduled for no later than 36 weeks from the date of receipt of the advance payment, the execution of the contract is no later than 56 weeks.
According to the announcement, price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is until March 16, 2022.
The trolleybuses for Ivano-Frankivsk are procured within the framework of the Ukraine Urban Public Transport Project at the expense of the EIB and a grant from the European Union.
According to local media reports, the city planned to purchase at least eight dual-mode electric buses for these funds.
The Ukraine Urban Public Transport Project is a financial agreement between Ukraine and the EIB, ratified in April 2017. It provides for the implementation of 21 subprojects for the development of urban passenger transport in 11 cities.

MCDONALD’S OPENS FIRST RESTAURANT IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

Enterprise with foreign investments McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd. (Kyiv), which develops the American fast food chain McDonald’s in Ukraine, opened a restaurant of the chain at 2, Ivan Mykolaichuk Street in Ivano-Frankovsk on April 17.
According to the press service of the company, the new McDonald’s is designed for 185 seats in the hall and 82 seats on the terrace. The restaurant is equipped with two McDrive lines, delivery areas and express orders. The hall includes 12 self-service terminals and sorting stations for separate waste collection.
In addition, in May, it is planned to launch a robot transporter for the quick delivery of finished orders from the kitchen to the express orders window.
The company said that in addition to this, the opening of new McDonald’s restaurants is planned in Bila Tserkva, Lutsk, Khmelnytsky, Kropyvnytsky and Mariupol.
“Also, in the next two years, the company aims to open the first establishments in Chernivtsi and Uzhgorod, and to increase its presence in cities with a population of one million, such as Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro and Lviv,” the company said.
The first McDonald’s in Ukraine was opened on May 24, 1997 in Kyiv.
The McDonald’s restaurant chain in Ukraine has 99 restaurants in 22 cities.
According to the data of the unified public register of legal entities and private entrepreneurs, MCD Europe Limited (100%, London, U.K.) is a participant in the limited liability company.

EPIDEMIC SITUATION IN VOLYN, ZHYTOMYR, IVANO-FRANKIVSK, LVIV, ODESA, RIVNE, SUMY, KHARKIV AND CHERNIVTSI EXCEEDS CRITERIA FOR EASING LOCKDOWN

The epidemic situation in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi regions does not meet the criteria for easing lockdown, the Health Ministry said on its website on Tuesday.
The occupancy of beds, in particular, exceeds the permissible indicator of 53.31% in Lviv region. However, in Odesa and Sumy regions, the dynamics of the spread of the disease exceeds the established value of 10%.
The percentage of disease detection is higher than the established value of 11% in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi regions.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced adaptive lockdown until August 31, 2020, changed the principle of the distribution of regions to strengthen lockdown measures.
Depending on the epidemic situation in the region or individual administrative territorial units-districts, a “green,” “yellow,” “orange” or “red” level of epidemic danger of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease is established.

SHORTAGE OF RETAIL SPACE SEEN IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK – EXPERT

Average vacancy in shopping centers of Ivano-Frankivsk in Q2 2019 is 3.9%, developers retain low construction activity: the terms of commissioning of three shopping and entertainment centers were postponed indefinitely, UTG consulting company (Kyiv) has reported. “The interest of retailers in the Ivano-Frankivsk market is very high. In the shopping centers of the city, there is a demand for fashion, entertainment and catering brands. The availability of professional retail space corresponds to 334.9 square meters per 1,000 inhabitants – below the average for Ukraine. The shortage of retail premises is 27,500 square meters, whereas for 2019-2020 only a building on the territory of the Holovny market with a lettable area of 4,800 square meters was declared for opening, UTG analyst Oksana Havrylevych told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to her, in the city, most of the existing and leading shopping centers were opened in 2004-2014. By now they are morally and physically obsolete.
According to her, in the most high-quality facilities rentals for the premises of the fashion gallery area of 50-100 square meters ranges $15-20 excluding VAT. The total market offer of Ivano-Frankivsk over the past five years has been replenished with only a few small facilities with an area of 1,000-2,000 square meters.
Thus, at the beginning of 2019, three district, eight micro district, 11 specialized, two entertainment centers and four detached hypermarkets were operating in Ivano-Frankivsk.
According to the ICSC classification, excluding small shops and premises of the street-retail format, city markets and detached super-and hypermarkets, the total area of the city’s retail facilities is 87,300 square meters, which corresponds to an indicator of 1,043 square meters per 1 square kilometer of the total area of the city.
