The international chain JYSK opened a new store in Odesa in the Rodos shopping center (1 Genoese St.) on Thursday, the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
The new store has a retail area of 955 square meters, a warehouse of 216 square meters, and office space of 47 square meters. Like all new JYSK stores, it is built in accordance with the modern 3.0 concept with full spot lighting, convenient arrangement of goods, which will create a comfortable shopping experience, the company said in a statement.
The new store became the 101st store of the chain in Ukraine, which celebrated its 20th anniversary on the Ukrainian market in October. In the financial year 2025, it is planned to open eight more new stores and renovate 12 existing ones.
JYSK is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group with more than 3.5 thousand stores in 48 countries.
JYSK’s revenue in the financial year 2023/24 amounted to EUR 5.6 billion.
On Thursday, the international chain JYSK opened a new store in Kryvyi Rih in the Terra shopping center at 1B Charivna Street, the retailer’s press service reported.
“The new JYSK store in Kryvyi Rih is located in the renovated Terra shopping center in the 5th Zarechnyi district. This store is the third in the city, the 99th in Ukraine and one of 29 JYSK stores planned to be opened by the company in August 2024 in Europe,” said JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanitsa, as quoted in the press release.
The new store will have a selling area of 1034 square meters, a warehouse of 307 square meters, and office space of 41.05 square meters. In addition, there are additional exhibition areas for furniture in front of the store and on the outer territory of the shopping center.
It is noted that in connection with the opening of the new store in the city, eight new employees joined the JYSK team, and four more were promoted. JYSK has more than 800 employees in the country.
Currently, there are 99 stores and the online store jysk.ua in Ukraine.

On Thursday, the international chain JYSK opened a renovated, largest JYSK store in Vinnytsia (1a Yevhen Pikusa St., Kvartal shopping center), the company’s press service reported.
According to the press release, JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanitsa said that the store has increased storage space, updated lighting, commercial equipment, and plans to improve logistics ergonomics. Its selling area is 1076 sq.m., the warehouse area is 275 sq.m. (it was increased by 21 sq.m.). The store also has a new office space with an area of 35 sq.m.
The store was rebuilt in accordance with the modern JYSK 3.0 store concept.
JYSK also announced new signed lease agreements. Currently, the chain has 98 operating stores, and it is planned to expand to 105 outlets by the end of the year. In particular, it is planned to open the ninth store in Lviv and the 37th in the Kyiv agglomeration.

The new store in Ternopil was built according to the 3.0 concept, which provides better spot lighting, more modern design and a more comfortable zonal arrangement of goods for the customer.
The press service added that the expanded area makes it possible to offer customers a wider range of products. In particular, some of the products that are usually available only on the Internet are presented here.
Currently, there are 97 stores and the jysk.ua online store in Ukraine. The plan is to reach 100 stores by the end of 2024. The candidate cities for the 100th store have been preliminarily identified – it will be either Kalush or Kryvyi Rih in August.
