DELIVERY OF FOOD FROM RAKETA RESTAURANTS (DNIPRO) BEGIN WORK IN KYIV

The service for the delivery of food from Raketa restaurants (Dnipro) has begun to work in Kyiv.
According to the company’s official announcement, on November 11, 2019 around 200 Raketa pedestrian, bicycle, motorcycle and auto couriers started working in Kyiv. They perform free delivery of meals from more than 70 restaurants located in the central areas of the city, with a stated delivery time of 60 minutes. The order is made in a mobile application (available for iOS and Android).
The first few months, Raketa will work in the capital in a beta testing mode. During this time, the service plans to cover the entire territory of Kyiv.
The size of commission from the restaurant for delivery of the order is not disclosed.
According to the report, the company plans to occupy at least 30% of the food order market in Ukraine and develop a network of its own kitchens (dark kitchen). The first of them is already working in a test mode near the Bessarabsky market in Kyiv, and the plan is to open 25-30 such kitchens in the capital.
“The network of our own kitchens will allow us to close all processes within the company, provide perfect service, and most importantly, deliver in less than 30 minutes,” Oleksiy Yukhymchuk, the co-founder of Raketa, said.
Raketa is a service of food delivery from restaurants that began operations in Dnipro on March 5, 2018. Currently, the company is owned by three stakeholders, including Ukrainian entrepreneurs Oleksiy Yukhymchuk and Stanislav Dmytryk (the name of the third owner is not disclosed).

UKRAINIAN MOTOR SICH AIRLINE CANCELS MOST FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO ODESA AND LVIV

Motor Sich airline cancels most flights from Kyiv to Odesa and Lviv, focusing on flights from Zaporizhia to Kyiv and Minsk (Belarus).
According to the airline’s Facebook page, flights to Kyiv will be operated twice a day, to Minsk four times a week.
The airline said flights from Kyiv to Odesa and Lviv were canceled from November 9 to December 20. At the same time, the number of flights from Zaporizhia to Kyiv and Minsk doubles.
Motor Sich airline is a structural subdivision of PJSC Motor Sich (Zaporizhia), an enterprise developing, manufacturing, repairing and servicing aircraft gas turbine engines for airplanes and helicopters, as well as industrial gas turbine units.
Currently, the airline operates a fleet of nine aircraft, carrying out regular passenger international and domestic flights, passenger and cargo charter flights, as well as special flights that support the operations of the main company.
The airline’s base airport is Zaporizhia International Airport.

“THE WORLD OF HORSES” NEAR KYIV

UKRAVTODOR AND CHINESE COMPANY TO IMPLEMENT FIRST PHASE OF ORBITAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION AROUND KYIV

The State Automobile Roads Agency (Ukravtodor) and China’s Poly Changda Engineering Co. Ltd have signed a memorandum of cooperation as part of the implementation of the first phase of construction of Big orbital roads around Kyiv connecting M-05 Kyiv-Odesa and M-06 Kyiv-Chop highways.
According to a posting on the website of the Infrastructure Ministry, during signing the document, Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said that the memorandum is an important stage in cooperation for the start of construction of the orbital road.
“Our goal is to ensure 40% growth of the country’s economy in five years, and for this we need to ensure large-scale construction throughout the country. Any infrastructure project gives a return with the greatest multiplier. Each dollar invested today in a year will give plus $2 for the economy. We are very pleased that Poly Changda Engineering shares our big investment plans, and especially in such important projects as the Great Orbital Road around Kyiv. In Ukraine, there was no experience of concession roads, so it is very important to start these projects with large reliable strategic partners,” the press service said, citing Krykliy.
At the same time, Krykliy expressed his expectations that both sides will be able to quickly complete all the required preparatory technical and economic calculations and begin construction next year.

UKRAINIAN LOW COST AIRLINE LAUNCHES FLIGHTS FROM KHARKIV TO KYIV

The Ukrainian low cost airline SkyUp Airlines (Kyiv) will launch direct regular flights from Kharkiv to Kyiv from October 25.
According to the company’s press service, flights will be operated three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The cost of a one-way ticket without baggage is from UAH 498.
“Thus, Kharkiv citizens will be able to fly to the capital with two air carriers: UIA and SkyUp Airlines,” the carrier said in a statement.
On October 29, SkyUp Airlines will resume flights to Sharjah (the UAE). Their cost will start from UAH 3,218 one way.
SkyUp Airlines LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016. The founder is ACS-Ukraine LLC of Tetiana and Yuriy Alba, who also own JoinUp! tour operator.

AZUR AIR UKRAINE LAUNCHES FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO CUBA

Azur Air Ukraine, together with the tour operator ANEX Tour, launches direct charter flights from Kyiv to the Republic of Cuba (the resort city of Varadero) from October 25, 2019 until the end of April 2020.
This was reported by representatives of the airline, the tour operator and the embassy of the Republic of Cuba at a press conference in Kyiv.
According to ANEX Tour Operations Director Iryna Ohanezova, flights will be operated every ten days.
“All full vacation packages are on our website. Each tour package includes a flight, an insurance policy, a hotel, transfer. In addition to a standard vacation in Varadero, we also offer tours with several days in Havana,” she said.
According to participants in the press conference, the embassy of the Republic of Cuba was the initiator of launching direct flights.
“We have been working on the opening of direct flights from Ukraine for a long time. This issue was resolved in different ways. Finally, all efforts were united, and this idea became a reality,” Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Natacha Diaz Aguilera said.
Azur Air Ukraine began its operations in 2009. The company is based at Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv region), however, it offers flights from the regions: Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Lviv, and Odesa. Currently, the company operates only charter flights.
