Passenger traffic at Lviv International Airport in January-July 2019 amounted to 1.192 million people, which is 41.2% more than in the same period of 2018, according to the official page of the airport on Facebook.
The number of flights in January-July reached 10,551 (9,086 international, 1,465 domestic), which is 24.4% more than in January-July last year.
In July 2019, some 243,000 passengers (224,400 on international flights and 18,600 on domestic flights) used the airport services, which is 25.8% more than in the same period of 2018.
At the same time, the number of serviced flights last month increased by 20.5%, to 1,933. Some 1,697 passengers were transported on international flights and 236 on domestic flights.
As reported, in 2018 the airport raised passenger traffic by 48% compared with 2017, to 1.598 million people.
Lviv International Airport is located 6 km south of the city center.
Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp Airlines (Kyiv) will launch three new domestic flights from October, the company said on its website.
What is more, the frequency of SkyUp flights between Kyiv and Lviv will increase.
The Kyiv-Zaporizhia flight fare starts from UAH 498. The flights will be carried out on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday starting from October 28, 2019.
The Kyiv-Kharkiv flight fare starts from UAH 498. The flights will be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting from October 25, 2019.
Flights between Kharkiv and Lviv will be launched for the first time in Ukraine; tickets will cost starting from UAH 639. The flights will be carried out on Thursday and Sunday from October 17, 2019.
The airline stressed that the development of domestic routes is what SkyUp can do and continues doing for Ukraine.

You liked the holidays in Lviv – we reviewed our winter flight schedule. Tickets for the three destinations are already available for booking.
As was reported, SkyUp, which was set up in June 2017, transported 668,500 passengers in the first half of 2019.
Currently, its fleet consists of eight planes: six Boeing 737-800 and two Boeing 737-700.

According to her, office premises with a leased area of 56,400 square meters are expected to be commissioned in 2019 (33.6% of A class, 66.4% of B class), 31,500 square meters in 2020, and 88,200 square meters in 2021.
“With the timely commissioning of the declared facilities by the end of 2021, the total leased office space will be about 378,000 square meters, which corresponds to 500.8 square meters per 1,000 citizens, which may bring the Lviv office market to the phase of oversupply,” she said.

Average vacancy of shopping centers in Lviv by the middle of 2019 was 2.9%, and by late 2021 it is planned that total supply of retail space would expand by 34,600 square meters thanks to the launch of four new shopping centers, UTG consulting company (Kyiv) has reported. “As of the end of the first half of 2019, there is a shortage of commercial premises in the amount of about 24,700 square meters. In the case of the implementation and commissioning of the announced promising projects in the market, there may be a surplus that will inevitably entail overflow of tenants from obsolete facilities that are losing popularity, as well as will have an impact on the growth of vacancy and the correction of rental rates downwards,” UTG analyst Oksana Havrylevych told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to her, in 2019-2021, shopping centers with a total leasable area of 35,600 square meters are declared to open, in particular: on July 25, 2019, the opening of Vernissage shopping center (1, Shevska Street, GLA is 1,000 sq. m), the Arsen shopping and entertainment center (60, Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, GLA is 24,800 sq. m.), the Kinescope shopping center (Heroyiv UPA Street, GLA is 8,600 sq. m.), as well as a shopping and office center 11, Hospitalna Street (GLA is 1,300 sq. m.).
According to UTG estimates, by the end of the first half of 2019, two regional, six district, 16 microdistrict, 11 specialized shopping centers and 11 detached supermarkets and hypermarkets were operating in Lviv.
According to the ICSC classification, the total area of the city’s retail facilities is 390,200 square meters., which corresponds to 528,400 square meters per 1,000 inhabitants or 2,200 0 square meters per square kilometer of the total area of the city (excluding small shops, street retail, city markets, detached super- and hypermarkets).
The executive committee of the Lviv City Council has approved the town-planning conditions and limits for designing an office and hotel center at 191b, Liubinska Street.
As reported on the website of the City Council, private enterprise Galmodern plans to build an office center with underground parking and a hotel and office center with underground parking on the site. The facilities will be located near the Lviv airport.
Zaxid.net reported with reference to Head of the department of architecture and urbanism of the Lviv City Council Yulian Chaplynsky that Galmodern is negotiating the opening of a hotel under the international brand of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
“There are negotiations with the Hilton network. But for the time being they have only received town planning conditions for design. It is finally unknown if they submit this [the project] to Hilton or another network,” Chaplynsky said.
According to the unified public register, Natalia Onoshko (100%) is listed as the participant and ultimate beneficiary of Galmodern.
