NOVA POSHTA STARTS PLACING BONDS FOR UAH 700 MLN

Nova Poshta, the leader in express delivery in Ukraine, started placing B series bonds for UAH 700 million on May 11.
The corresponding bond issue was registered by the National Securities and Stock Market Commission on May 7, 2020.
The bonds were issued for a period until February 17, 2023 with a coupon rate of 16% and a periodicity of payments four times a year. The placement period is from May 11 to July 10, 2020.
As reported, in 2020 the company intends to invest $100 million in its development.
In February-April 2019, Nova Poshta carried out a closed placement of bonds in the amount of UAH 300 million at 22% per annum with maturity until August 22, 2020. Funds from the placement of bonds were used to modernize the infrastructure and the network of the issuer’s branches.
Nova Poshta, founded in 2001, is a leader in the express delivery market in Ukraine. The company’s network consists of more than 6,000 branches throughout the country.

NOVA POSHTA LAUNCHES DELIVERY OF MEDICAL GOODS FROM DOC.UA

The Nova Poshta Group launches delivery of medical goods from the DOC.ua online medical service to its offices, automated parcel lockers and directly to customers.
The company said in its press release disseminated on Friday that Nova Poshta will deliver medicines, which are remotely recommended by doctors on the DOC.ua hub and can be ordered on the website in the Pharmacy section.
“Under conditions of the quarantine and the penetration of contactless services in all spheres of our life, demand for qualified medical online consultation is growing. When one is unable to visit a clinic, remote communicational with a doctor is in fact the only reliable way to receive aid. This is a positive trend which shows that Ukrainians care about their health: they trust specialists and prefer them to self-treatment. On our behalf we support this important initiative of DOC.ua with timely delivery of medicines,” the press service quoted Nova Poshta CEO Oleksandr Bulba as saying.
DOC.ua said that the service was developed as an alternative to self-treatment. Doctors cannot prescribe treatment or medicines, but only recommend. Patients on their own add medical goods to the chart in the Pharmacy section.
The DOC.ua service, which is a part of EFI GROUP, is a medical online hub founded in 2014. Its base currently includes more than 10,000 doctors and 1,500 medical institutions in Ukraine.
Alfa-Bank raises UAH 660 mln of UAH 2.4 bln of NBU’s first refinancing for five years
KYIV. May 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 8, Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) took part in the first tender of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) for refinancing to banks for a period of one to five years and raised UAH 660 million for five years on security of domestic government loan bonds issued with the aim of supporting the economy, the bank said in a statement on its website on Thursday, May 14.
“Alfa-Bank Ukraine will use the raised funds to develop its loan support for businesses, which currently need a long-term financial resource to restore their active operation as soon as possible after lockdown restrictions are removed,” the bank’s press service said.

NOVA POSHTA GLOBAL STARTS DELIVERIES FROM CHINA’S ALIEXPRESS BY TRUCKS

Nova Poshta Global, a part of the Nova Poshta Group, has started delivering parcels from China’s AliExpress trading platform to Ukraine by trucks. The press service of the company said on Tuesday that last week a truck with parcels from AliExpress departed from the Chinese city of Urumchi and overcame the distance of around 6,000 kilometers before reaching the sorting center in Kyiv on May 12.
The truck delivered 7,467 parcels from AliExpress for Nova Poshta clients.
“The pilot shipment showed that it is possible to meet the planned time of delivery by truck. In general, the journey from Urumchi to Warsaw took six days and the two more days to Kyiv. The transit and customs did not take a long time. We continue introducing the multimodal delivery services and testing new means of transport and routes in order to make delivery time as short as possible for our customers,” the press service quoted Nova Poshta Global CEO Yuriy Benevytsky as saying.
Now the company can deliver parcels from AliExpress by air, railway and motor vehicles.
As reported, Nova Poshta Global noted a 28% increase in Ukrainians’ orders from AliExpress compared to April last year.

NOVA POSHTA INTERNATIONAL RENAMED TO NOVA POSHTA GLOBAL

Nova Poshta International (NPI), a member of the Nova Poshta group of companies, has changed its name to Nova Poshta Global (NPG), according to the company.
“Such changes have occurred so that the name conveys a deeper meaning of the entire activity and strategy of Nova Poshta Global, the worldview of its employees … We help businesses, manufacturers and entrepreneurs. We work with more than 200 countries around the world, breaking down borders between people, creating strong relations and cooperation. And this is a global meaning,” Yuriy Benevytsky, the director of Nova Poshta Global, said.
According to the company, the word “international” in the previous name created borders and restrictions, and the word “global” symbolically erases them.
“We want to emphasize that the whole world for Ukrainians, those who use the Internet, is accessible and simple. Especially now that the borders for movement are closed,” the company noted.
As reported, in 2019 Nova Poshta International delivered 3.4 million international parcels, which is 26% more than in 2018.

NOVA POSHTA SETS UP OVER 200 PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF POINTS AMID QUARANTINE

Nova Poshta group of companies set up more than 200 pick-up and drop-off points in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Uzhgorod and Kherson during quarantine, Nova Poshta said in a statement on Monday, April 6.
The company plans to increase the number of pick-up and drop-off points to 400 by the end of April.
“For the convenience of customers, we set up most of the branded pick-up and drop-off points inside grocery stores,” the company said.
Until the end of April, Nova Poshta plans to expand the network to 400 pick-up and drop-off points and install them in Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Mariupol and other cities.
Delivery of fully prepaid documents and parcels up to 30 kg of actual weight and a size of not more than 42x24x58 cm with a declared value of not more than UAH 6,000 is allowed at the pick-up and drop-off points.

NOVA POSHTA INVESTS IN PURCHASING OF 2,000 PROTECTIVE SUITS FOR HOSPITALS

Nova Poshta group of companies has paid for sewing 2,000 special protective suits for doctors from Chernivtsi, the company said on Tuesday.
In the near future, a purchase order worth UAH 1 million will be completed and personal protective equipment delivered to the city’s hospitals.
According to the statement, assistance to Chernivtsi was provided under the decision adopted by the company on March 15 to allocate UAH 25 million for the purchase of medical equipment, supplies, medicines and personal protective means for medical institutions in Ukraine.
“In the near future, Nova Poshta will supply several more artificial lung ventilators to medical institutions. We continue to urge representatives of business, volunteers, and public organizations to join the honorable thing, to contribute and provide the country’s hospitals with everything necessary by joint efforts,” co-founder of the company Inna Popereshniuk said.
She also said that today the health and lives of millions of Ukrainians depend on the responsible social position of business as well.
