Ukrposhta JSC is launching its first 70 parcel lockers in Kyiv and a parcel tracking feature in the “Ukrposhta 2.0” mobile app; in a few weeks, the company plans to open another 30 parcel lockers in Odesa.
“Now you can redirect your parcels within Ukraine and from AliExpress or Temu for free (if the parcel hasn’t reached the branch yet): to a parcel locker (yes, without any extra fees), to another branch, extend the storage period, or change the recipient,” wrote Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smiliansky on Telegram on Tuesday.
According to him, if a package is already at a branch and the customer needs a different branch or a parcel locker, it is possible to redirect the package at the standard rate.
It is noted that the package will be stored in a parcel locker free of charge for up to seven days; thereafter, if the customer does not pick it up, it will be sent to the nearest branch.
The CEO of Ukrposhta clarified that for the first few weeks, prepaid parcels will be available for delivery to parcel lockers, while in a few weeks the company plans to launch in-app payment.
“Ukrposhta plans to launch about 1,000 parcel lockers by the end of this year (and maybe even more, if you like it),” added Smiliansky.
“We have many exciting changes planned for the near future, which we’ve been working on for a long time (sometimes too long—I admit), but now we’re happy to make these changes available to you at the best rates on the market! Use the service and provide feedback,” noted the CEO of Ukrposhta.
In turn, Ukrposhta clarified that starting today, corporate clients who work with the company via API also have the ability to manage their shipments.
The national postal operator also announced that for those who submit requests at branches, Ukrposhta will maintain this option for a few weeks. However, after the transition period, all requests submitted at branches will be discontinued and moved to the app to reduce lines.
JSC “Ukrposhta” is the national postal operator that provides postal, logistics, financial, and commercial services to private and corporate clients. The company has over 6,000 branches and 26,000 service points throughout Ukraine.
Nova Poshta, Ukraine’s leading express delivery service and a member of the NOVA Group, opened 2,600 new parcel lockers, 36 branches, and 329 parcel pickup and drop-off points in the first quarter of 2026, according to a company statement released on Tuesday.
It is noted that the new-format branches in residential complexes became the most popular: 21 of the 36 branches were opened there.
Most branches during the first quarter appeared in the Kyiv and Lviv regions, as well as in the frontline Zaporizhzhia region.
“During the first quarter, 19 branches changed their locations to make using Nova Poshta’s services even more convenient,” the release quotes Anna Fedchenko, head of Nova Poshta’s network development planning department.
According to Artur Kudelin, director of Nova Poshta’s parcel locker department, the company recently opened a parcel locker facility with 26 sections and 286 lockers.
“In addition, we are adding new stacks to existing parcel lockers—where there is sufficient demand and technical feasibility. We have already expanded 445 locations in this way,” said Kudelin.
It is noted that the company currently operates 36,700 parcel lockers nationwide.
Nova Poshta added that by the end of 2026, it plans to expand its network of parcel lockers by 6,000 units and open 300 mini-branches across the country.
In late March, in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the company’s Director of Customer Service, Maksym Melezhik, announced plans to open approximately 300 branches in residential complexes by 2026.
Overall, Nova Poshta plans to expand its network of service points from 51,500 to 60,000 by 2026, including up to 40,000 parcel lockers, Melezhik shared during the Nova Summit in Kyiv.
In 2025, the company increased its revenue by 21% compared to 2024—to over 54 billion UAH, with its profit reaching 2.6 billion UAH compared to 2.5 billion UAH the previous year. The number of parcels and shipments delivered over the year grew by 7.4%—from 486 million to 522 million, including international shipments—by 52.6%, from 19 million to 29 million.
Nova Poshta, Ukraine’s leading express delivery company, installed more than 8,000 new parcel terminals over the year, bringing their total number to 30,600, according to a press release issued by the company on Wednesday.
“As of October 6, the company has 44,983 service points, including 14,336 branches. Over the past year alone, more than 8,000 new parcel terminals have been installed, and over the past week, another 259,” the document says.
As previously reported by Nova Poshta, in the first half of this year, its branch network grew by 708 points to 13,985, and the number of parcel terminals increased by more than 4,000 to 28,326, while in mid-2024 there were 12,180 and 18,370 thousand, respectively.
“Parcel locker delivery is a global trend that is rapidly gaining momentum in Ukraine. We plan to invest about UAH 1 billion in the development of the parcel locker network by the end of 2025,” said Artur Kudelin, director of the parcel locker department at Nova Poshta, in the release.
The company added that while three years ago less than 10 million shipments per year passed through parcel lockers, now there are 46 million, and by the end of 2025, the company plans to reach 75 million deliveries.
“We see a clear trend: the opening of a parcel terminal (for example, near a cottage community) immediately stimulates the growth of online purchases in that area. Therefore, the expansion of the network contributes to the development of the entire online commerce ecosystem in general,” Kudelin noted.
According to the release, more than 4,000 parcel terminals in the network are powered by solar panels, and a “locker” service has also been introduced for temporary storage or transfer of items.
The main activity of Nova Poshta is express delivery of documents, parcels, and palletized large-sized cargo.
In the first half of 2025, the company increased its revenue by 23% compared to the same period in 2024, to UAH 24.6 billion. The volume of parcels and cargo delivered amounted to 238 million (7% more).
