TURKISH COMPANY MULLING PLACEMENT OF BITUMEN PLANT IN WESTERN UKRAINE

The Turkish construction and investment company Beta Engineering is considering Lviv region for the placement of a bitumen plant, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytsky has said.
“Entrepreneurs have their own oil refineries and bitumen plants in Turkey and Iraq. In Ukraine, they would like to start their business, attracting investments as public-private partnership,” Kozytsky wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the parties agreed that the company will study the market and issue a request, and the Regional State Administration will offer land plots suitable for the implementation of the project.

TURKISH COMPANY WILL REPAIR 47 KM OF ROAD IN UKRAINE

The road service in Ternopil region and the Turkish company Onur Group have signed an agreement for the repair of 47 km of the road between Ternopil and Berezhany on the M-12 Stry-Ternopil-Kropyvnytsky-Znamyanka route.
The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) reported on its Facebook page the work will start in the second half of March. It is planned that the vehicles will move from the village of Pidhorodne to the west. Part of the work, as noted by the winner of the tender, will be performed by a subcontractor.
“This section is the first new object of the Big Construction project in 2021 in Ternopil region. The repair of the M-12 highway is a priority of the presidential program, because together with the M-04 highway it will form a new route dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence. The M-30 highway will be to run from Stry (Lviv region) to Izvaryne (Luhansk region) and will be the longest in Ukraine. The total length of the road will be 1,392 km. It will symbolically “sew” the west of the country and the east, including the temporarily occupied territories captured by occupation forces, and after the victory over them, the road to this village will also be restored,” Ukravtodor said.
The agency notes that a section of the future M-30 Stry-Izvaryne highway in Ternopil region runs from the borders of Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytsky regions through Ternopil. From the regional center to the border of Khmelnytsky region, it was restored in 2018. And from Ternopil through the city of Berezhany to the borders of Ivano-Frankivsk region, this road has not been repaired since the 1990s.
Onur Taahhut, founded in 1991, carries out the construction of roads, bridges, abutments, structures and road reconstruction works. The company has successfully implemented important projects in Croatia, Ukraine, Tunisia, Moldova, Oman, Equatorial Guinea and Turkmenistan. It has experience in performing construction and installation works at infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine.

TURKISH COMPANY INTERESTED IN MODERNIZING KHERSON AIRPORT

Ukraine is interested in developing mutually beneficial investment cooperation with Turkey, the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine said on its website on Sunday, November 29.
Minister Vladyslav Krykliy, as part of the delegation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, paid a two-day working visit to Turkey on November 29, during which a roundtable conference was held with Turkish top companies with a total investment portfolio of $5 billion.
According to the minister, Ukraine is interested in the development of mutually beneficial investment collaboration with Turkey and already has a positive experience of cooperation with Turkish companies.
He said the Ukrainian government has approved a list of priority investment projects for the country for the next three years. Projects in the field of infrastructure and transport make up 40% of this list.
According to the Infrastructure Ministry, one of the Turkish companies has expressed interest in modernizing the airport in Kherson.

TURKISH COMPANY INTERESTED IN PRIVATIZATION OF ENERGY ENTERPRISES IN UKRAINE

The delegation of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Turkey, met with CEO of Aksoy Ventures Batu Aksoy.
Aksoy Ventures operates in the areas of electricity generation, fuel distribution and industrial construction, and is interested in the privatization of Ukrainian energy enterprises and the implementation of infrastructure facilities, the President’s Office said on its Facebook page.
“Ukraine is interested in the further growth of Turkish investments and the implementation of joint projects, including infrastructure projects under the terms of public-private partnership. In the near future, a list of priority investment projects for the state will be approved. It will, in particular, include public-private partnership projects. In addition, a new legislative platform is being formed in Ukraine – this is a bill on ‘investment nannies,’ which will significantly increase the attractiveness of Ukraine for investors,” said Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko.
In turn, President Zelensky stressed that it is important not to postpone such meetings for later. “If there is a chance, we will also meet at the weekend, discuss the details in order to move faster to attract investment. Turkish business has proved its quality in the international arena,” the head of state said.

TURKISH COMPANY STARTS BUILDING SOLAR POWER PLANT IN UKRAINE

Turkey’s Emsolt Investments Holdings Ltd. has started building a solar power plant with a power capacity of 11 MW in Khmelnytsky region and plans to expand the project. The information was presented at a meeting of Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Serhiy Savchuk with representatives of the company last week, the press service of the agency has reported. The sides discussed the prospects of investing in solar power plants and biogas units at the meeting.
Emsolt in 2017 proposed projects to build solar power plants in Ukraine with a total capacity of 100 MW. At present, the company is building plants in Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky regions with a total capacity of near 20 MW.

TURKISH COMPANY WINS ROAD BUILDING TENDER

Onur Construction International has won a tender held by the Automobile Road Service in Dnipropetrovsk region to build a section of H-31 Dnipro-Reshetylivka road from the settlement of Loboikivka to the border of Dnipropetrovsk region with a price offer of UAH 427.9 million. According to the ProZorro e-procurement system, the expected cost of the project was UAH 436.5 million.
Along with Onur, Rostdorbud LLC was a bidder in the tender with the price offer of UAH 428 million, and two more companies were not allowed to participate in the tender.
The tender was announced in October 2017, although changes were made to the tender documents several times. The project is to be completed by late 2019.
According to the public register, Onur Construction International LLC is belonged to Onur and Ihsan Cetinceviz.
