Trump Announced Plans for Large-Scale Agreement to Resolve War in Ukraine

6 November , 2026

U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans for a large-scale agreement to resolve the war in Ukraine, which could extend beyond a bilateral framework to encompass all of Europe, and also announced that new statements would be made within the next one to two weeks, according to a report by Clash Report late Thursday night.

“There will be a deal. It will be a big deal, and it will encompass more than just Ukraine. It will be a very large-scale deal that will affect more than just Ukraine, and I can even say that it may encompass all of Europe. It will be a big, wonderful deal, and everyone will be thrilled,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office of the White House on Thursday.

At the same time, the U.S. leader did not disclose details regarding the signatories, the timing of the agreements, territorial issues, security guarantees, or the sanctions regime; however, he promised to announce a series of developments over the next one to two weeks.

Responding to reporters’ questions about whether he raises the issue of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian population in his contacts with Vladimir Putin, the White House chief noted that he consistently draws attention to this issue with both sides. According to Trump’s estimate, the combined losses of Russia and Ukraine in the war amount to about 25,000 people per month.

As the publication notes, the U.S. president’s statement came a few hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported discussing with U.S. officials the possibility of a winter ceasefire amid massive Russian strikes on Ukraine’s power grid.
